i've only seen this turbo on ebay, i was wondering if anyone has this turbo or knows anything about it? i was looking into getting the ball bearing 6162r but the 6262 isnt much bigger but it has the billet wheel, so i was wondering 1: if anyone has this turbo and 2: where can i buy it i dont like ebay

I too have been looking into this turbo myself and have contacted PTE direct and am waiting on a response with some more info. I have been told its boost response is like a HTA35R, but has a little more steam behind it (in the b/b version). I do not know this for a fact, just what i have been told since asking around about this turbo myself. I am considering giving the turbo a try myself, just waiting on some specs and some solid info myself.

I recieved an email back from tech at Precision and apparently they must not want to sell them that badly because their response was that it is a great turbo and do some looking on the web for the information and i once again emailed back again and asked if they could supply me with some specs and pricing and he said to look on evolutionm.com and some buyers discussed the turbo on the forum.

It may not be out for public sales yet. PM Martin Ruiz (VIP garage) here on the site and he 'll tell you for sure. He is probably gonna be one of the first to receive and sell it.

yea he told me to do look on the web at a dyno video when i asked for specs and flow charts, but yea he didnt give me a price but said i could buy it from them at pte

Bump up.... Just curious if anyone has used this turbo by now on a DSM application? Seems the Evo guys are having tremendous success with this turbo.

Ya, there's not much DSM info on this but the 62/65 should make more power sooner and a tad up top over their 67mm turbo's. I'm curious if PTE will offer either turbo in a T4 divided housing?

ams did a test with this turbo, they called it the "super secret turbo" it made more power than both the 35r and 37r and responded faster than a 37r but slightly slower than a 35r. it uses a billet compressor wheel. i talked to a guy from tdautowerks, and he seemed very knowledgable about it. spool up on a non ball bearing should be similair to that of a journal bearing sc61 for example.

Kick ass vid! That thing was runnin! Love the license plate "MOST H8D"
The turbo seemed like it had good boost recovery too and obviously was putting out some power

i might be wrong but i beleive that car used the 6265 which flows a little more than the 6262

I have just purchased this turbo from MAPerformance. It is the 6262 SP (non BB), so as soon as I get it installed and my car running again, I'll post the outcome on here. Hopefully soon!

. . .I've been very curious about that too. . . e85 = hella compression, but thats obvious and a bit beside the point.

Seams a kick ass turbo though. It's moving that full interior evo well.

Okay, hate to thread hijack here but it's on topic. My T-28 is on it's last leg. My Holset HX52 will be here tomorrow but I can't bolt it on for awhile (cause I need the exhaust manifold and wastegates, etc.) so next week I'll probably order a bolt-on turbo that'll last me until I can get everything I need to bolt it up. Anyone know if the 6262 in the dsm housing will bolt up okay without having to dent the waterpipe? Oil lines that are needed? If it'll bolt up okay, I might get it. Don't wanna dent my waterpipe all to hell though. Want something that'll get me by for awhile and still give me lots of power for the time being.

I don't know, but that guy above you just trapped 150mph on street tires with his 6262. Wish his mod list was a little more complete so we could see the rest of his setup...;)
Later we find out that cuzco's 150mph turbo was actually a S366....his profile was not updated at the time he actually ran the 150mph pass.

6262s run great on 38-40lbs of boost!
