prothane motor mount INSERTS

i have searched and searched for this answer. but all the threads seem to be taken over for solid mounts.
do i need to remove the old rubber from the factory motor mounts to put in prothane INSERTS? not the solid mounts. or do these just go over the factory rubber? thank you

depends on what kit you buy. some of them force you to replace the entire motor mount, while others you just put them over the stock motor mounts, or a combination of both.

remove old rubber, it's a bi*** so u may need to torch them out
