here ya go. hummm a thread asking what shouldb e made thats 30 pages long let me throw out drip rails as obviously no one else mentioned it.

I suppose it does what it's intended to, just looks like absolute shit. Most people would prefer a nice polished heat shield for aesthetics as well as function.

As for parts I'd like to see, someone to make a legit short shifter for a 1G like JNZ used to do .

We can still make the shifters for the 1G and Galant VR-4. But we need the customer to supply the parts as Mitsubishi no longer sells them unfortunately.

Below is a sketch showing the parts you would have to supply. The are from a 93-99 (made from 6/92-12/99) 3000GT/Dodge Stealth 5 or 6 speed. If you send them in we would be happy to make you a shifter.

I actually spoke on the phone with you about what parts were required, unfortunately after searching all of the local junk yards I still have yet to find one. Not only that, it's like they were taunting me. I go to the biggest yard in town, they have 5 3KGT/Stealths.

I find 2 manuals, both are 91-92, the other 3 are 93+ , all auto.........

I'm still looking for one though.

That's interesting. What's your reasoning behind wanting something like that?

Just to get the knob closer to the wheel to keep the time spent with one hand off the wheel to a minimum. Ive seen lots of extended shifters in drift cars and some time attack. I know hybrid racing makes one for Hondas.

JUST A THOUGHT !!! For all the guys asking for custom parts they wished to be made, ARE YOU GUYS WILLING TO PAY FOR THEM ???

Most of these parts can be custom made at a skilled fabrication shop, but most of these would be expensive to be made... I've seen a lot of fabricators involved with DSM custom parts and they tend to drop out of the DSM crowd for lack of interest from the DSM community as most DSMers are cheap and don't want to pay big bucks for unique parts that aren't that available and tend to be fabricated by just a few parts builders and manufacturers for a limited time due to lack of sales.

Basically this thread SUCK BIG TIME, cause when it's all said and done most guys here won't pay for the parts they are wishing to be made.

The bigger issue is getting a group buy together to make it worth a shops time to produce several to make it worthwhile to produce. One off stuff just isn't in most peoples budget.

I think a good market in aftermarket parts amongst the DSM community could start with simple recreations of exterior body parts. Parts for the Talon are becoming scarce. I have been going on a hunt for months for a "End Cap" on the passenger side of the side skirts/ground effects/rocker molding. Another almost impossible thing to find is a 97-99 Eagle talon Front bumper. I know that some sites to carry this, but at a price of 400-500 bucks is just a little bit ridiculous. A brand new BMW bumper cover costs 700 and has numerous electronic components that go with it. Why should a front bumper with nothing but a aggressive mold be priced so high? We are kind of getting ripped on that one. Another thing that I think everyone can agree on is a Aftermarket Valve Cover in production that's not going to cost an arm and a leg. Lets face it the OEM ones leave no room for error on torque specifications and are not really the kind of thing you like to take off when it could possibly be a couple month long search at the local scrap yards (Some people don't have 150 bucks to toss down the drain, not every dsmer has the luxury of having another car, but they are a dsmer nonetheless.) It would be really nice to have a organized easy to scroll catalog that is current and up to date online. I have been to several places and the layouts have me worried to spend my money because a lot of their "online inventory" is no longer there. Forgive me if I am not aware of any other sites that may have this. If so I would really like to know. Searching for parts are often times a major headache, seems like I have to go on a search for hours before I find any solid leads.
