Possible bad Coil Pack, car dies when I rev

My car idles fine but but the revs drop to close to 0 and the car dies if I touch the throttle. New plug wires, plugs, and ECU. Im just wondering what the problem could be, pretty stumped. Thanks

Is it possible to have a bad coil pack and still have spark on all four cylinders?

Did you use the right plugs ?

Plugs wouldn't do this. Why I mentioned filter is that the rail doesn't have enough fuel pressure to keep the injectors filled - why he can idle okey, but once the pedal is mashed, the low pressure in the rail isn't enough for the sudden demand from the injectors and the motor is suddenly starved for fuel and dies.

He also could have a bad power resistor (module)...did he check this one out since he did all the rest of the ignition?

Im haveing kind of the same problem motor finally got put back togegher, drove around the block fine and after it sat for a vouple days i touch the gas abd it dies instantly

ECT (engine coolant temperature) sensor could cause this as most cars I'm assuming need to know the temperature of the coolant and compare it to the ambient air temperature to run correctly. My 91 saturn had the same issue when the ECT crapped the bed. It would idle ok, but as soon as I stepped on the gas it would stumble and almost die. Might not be the case for DSM's, but just throwing it out there.

thanks for the tip i finally got her to run but she starts then dies like 3 times and then i fire it and it will finally stay running i dont get it

Sounds more like a fuel problem than ignition.

Got a new fuel filter putting n tomorrow hope that does the trick[DOUBLEPOST=1407973277][/DOUBLEPOST]i dont mean to take over a thread but new fuel filter didnt fix mu problem, should i move on to fuel pump?
please help
