poor accel/throttle response

Hoping you guys can help me out. I've had my 91 talon awd tsi for about a month (A/T, stock) and just drove it from portland to denver. It made the trip fine but now I've noticed that between 2K and 3K rpm the car has virtually no accel. It didn't do this on the trip, only recently. Once I break 3K the accel is back and the car performs just fine. I know before the turbo spools up the accel will be a bit slower than at higher rpm, this is even slower than that. If you have any ideas or experience with this and can give me some tips I'd appreciate it!

I had the same problem. It was my timing.

or maybe if you buy something too clean your fuel injectors.

If his turbo spools up and he is hitting full boost it's not a boost leak.

Believe it or not you can build boost with a boost leak. Lots of it, actually.

Oh no you didn't. False information here. You can for sure hit full boost and still have boost leaks.

Check your base timing. Set to 5 deg BTDC
