Alright so I have a 420A that is now boosted on about 18 lbs of boost and for the most part fully built but I'm getting a reading for the 4th injector malfunction maken me run through ALOT of gas and running very rich and some times having a smell of gas in the cabin. I believe there 550 injectors not totally sure but I'm wondering--- what injectors should I get? cuz I want to replace these cuz this gas mpg isn't cool another thing in reference to injectors there is a silver metal box I notced one wire of each injector is going to but they only go into it they don't come out and the other wire goes where it should what is this box for can anyone tell me what it is ????

its probably a resistor box which means you have peak and hold injectors installed. what do you have for engine management? if whatever your using doesn't support peak and hold injectors, you should ditch the resistor box and injectors and get some saturated (high impedance) injectors.

does the box look like either of these?

I would say it looks more like the thinner one has 4 red wires and maybe one green coming outta the box. If you don't mind me asking what is a peak and hold ??
So what injectors would you recommend me getting ? This is a daily but like to race it every now and then

There are two basic types of injectors, saturated (high impedance) and peak and hold (low impedance). Saturated injectors are more common and draw less amperage form the ECU. Saturated injectors also create less heat because the have less amperage. A saturated injector will have an impedance of about 12 ohms, this means that at 12 volts it take 1 amp to hold the injector open. Peak and hold injectors will have an impedance closer to 2 ohms and draw about 6 amps. Most ECM's cannot handle the amperage and using peak and hold injectors will harm the them. If you desire peak and hold injectors a separate aftermarket injector controller or aftermarket ECM may be required. Peak and hold injectors use high current to open the injector very quickly and precisely, then they draw less to hold the injector open. For high horsepower and flow rates, the peak and hold injectors are much more precise, but they are more venerable because of the heat they make. If it is a street engine that will be daily driven, saturated injectors are more reliable for long term use. Peak and hold are better for high horse power and competition use. i would go with Injector Dynamics ID725's or ID1000's depending on how much power you wanna make. what size turbo are you running? if you something like a garrett t3/t04e or gt3076 i would get the ID1000s. make sure you loose the resistor box when you get new injectors.
