I have been searching for info on changing my clutch master clyinder on a 1g Talon tsi awd and have not seen anything on it. I went to pep boys and they became very puzzled and actually gave upWTF and did not really know what to do. This was very
funny to me because they claimed it was extremely difficult to remove the old one. I asked a few questions and they said that there is a pin that has to be removed and put back in. Plus they were afraid to remove the big spring there thinking it was under this big amount of pressure and it would be almost impossible to put back. They really seemed puzzled and not confident of what to do. I looked under the dash and saw what they were complaining about. The pin could be felt but you could not really see it enough plus you would need to put it back properly. But I looked up and saw that the spring was really what was keeping things at a stand still
since the pedal being under pressure was keeping us from being able to see the pin. Pushing the clutch pedal didn't help much and was tiresome. There was 1 or 2 bolts right there and it looked like if you remove the bolt you literally could move the spring out of the way. I could be wrong but removing the spring looked
logical. The guy was too scared to do it saying there has to be another way. He wanted another guy (that was not there) to look at it but the guy would not be there until this week(that didn't help me today)
