Parts washing for rebuild

Here's a crazy question, this dsm of mine is trying my patience so I'm be tearing the car down to empty shell and go over it with a fine tack cloth and tap and die set, some where in between ima be part washing everything ima be pulling out I would like to know which parts have rubber and plastic parts before I throw them into I'm part washing drum and have it sit for a few days. This is a 1g stock non turbo dsm. Thanks in advanced

It's weird, if you re-read some of your sentences, some of them make sense, and some sentences are missing words. Try to read them after typing out a post.

Are you talking about plastic or rubber pieces that are inside the parts? Otherwise I would think that a visual check would confirm whether or not the parts have plastic or rubber.

Give us a list of parts that you can't figure out and we might be able to help.

As well as being more specific, please use proper spelling and punctuation, not to mention grammar. It will give people the will to live and read your post. I myself read the first run-on sentence and quit after that. If you expect people to take time answering your questions, please take the time to write them out clearly.

After reading your question, you will have to make that judgement in a lot of cases. I would suggest you use a detergent that's safe for both, just to be sure, but you should be able to tell if it's a rubber or plastic component by feel. Well, that is unless it's one of those o-rings or seals that has petrified into near-plastic.

If you remove a seal, you'll likely have to replace it anyway, so it wouldn't matter if you parts wash it. Unless they're brand new or you know the life of them definitively, it would be a good idea to replace them anyway if you're going everything with a fine-toothed comb.

To be frank, I'll be Chem dipping the parts. I do know that some parts have O rings and seal, but there are some parts that I'm unsure of. Wondering if any of the gurus out know if it's safe to chem dip the follow, assume there's no seals or O rings:

Tb
Cylinder head
Oil pump housing
IM
Brake caliper w/ piston removed.

Only thing I'm unsure of, is I there is any pieces some where in those passages that have seals or what not.

The throttle body has seals. It wouldn't be a good idea to clean it as a whole. You'd ideally want to disassemble it and then replace the seals while you're at it.

That cool, would it be safe to submerge the whole complete cylinder in that stuff as well, or would it be best to strip it down to just it's bare block, and Chem dip the rest of it's components seperately ?

That's what I was thinking, I'll strip it down before it take a swim in some acid then. Does any one know of good way, to get those evil Lil keepers out?

Also, would it be worth having over sized valves done to the head, aside from porting?

Planning on modding engine for high red line, to make things won't break when revving that high.
