At an idle my car does perfect no matter how long you let it idle but soon as you drive it for 5 mins it starts trying to over heat it haves poor throttle response and puffs a cloud of smoke after you let off at high rpms

And it would also be helpful if you specify whether you have a GS-T convertible or a GS convertible (because the GS has the 4g64 2.4L and the GS-T had the 4g63 2.0L which are similar but different!).
