Hello guys and girls,
This will be my first post and i would like to say thank you for supporting everyone around the world with such a great site. Now enough of that:hellyeah:

My intentions are on buying a second generation mitsubishi eclipse! Now I have no knowledge on anything about mitsubishi, but I am i like with the automobile and would like to purchase one from 95-99 and build it up as far as engine goes. Apperance shouldn't matter anyone with the ability to look at a magazine can pick colors and rims. I am sole interested on the performance and handling of this creature. I would appreciate your help and all the knowlege of my fellow DSM'r's :p

I don't expect essays just thought and best modifications as far as an; engine, NA or T, suspension, the whole deal on then mind and function of the car.

We all know this thread might not be the best, but hey if you can help I'm here to listen and learn.

Yes yes, LaDsm will be used when it'sall put together and ready.

For sure i know there are plenty of amazing individuals on this site with great knowledge I don't expect much just opinions.

What engine should i throw in for maximum effort?
What suspension wouldsuite that beast motor?
Brakes, clutch, water hoses LOL, the deal.

The last question would be yes, the car a (1995 to 1999) eclipse around 2,000$. How much will i pour in her to have her cum quick!

I would try and pick up a 1g 6 bolt turbo motor, rebuid it and put it in a 2g gsx, and then put in a evo 3 16g, 3inch tbe, Fmic, injectors, dsmlink, etc.. But the real question is how much do you have to spend?

that's what i like to hear, there should be many other people here with phd's in this foogle. Thinking of picking up the car for $1,000.oo to $2,500.oo ... Looking anywhere from $5,000.oo to $10,000.oo on the performance. You let me know what that means. Like i said with all your help this project will rise in the summer. Just looking for information from OG's of this site and DSM memebers.

3 posts , im in shock. Maybe, there aren't such great minds afterall j.k or no

Well, are you looking into getting a AWD 2g or a FWD turbo 2g? The AWD gsx will definitely suit your performance needs along with handling and cornering and all that stuff. Your budget should be sufficient for the kind of mods you're looking for.

progress, AWD it is. next my price range for mods, what can we fill in it.

I want a nice fast car maybe 10s with my budget? maybe no? i don'tkow with all your help i will fullfil my little hot wheel caR .

definitely awd gsx. With the amount of money you are willing to spend you can build a nice car.
But it is good to have a goal in mind before you start.
Do you want a 1/4 mile car, or a daily driver with some hp or autocross or what?

what you intended to do with the car should guide the build.

like a hot wheels car pull it out the garage and take the crusie, but packing for sure for the unexpected. Not a daily driver, not a rallymachine. Streets mostly, freeway trips 50 to 300 miles.

Don't want something to break on me on those trips.

really like the style of these eclipse, and want it looking like a hotwheelz ride.

keep rolling these interesting questions at the end all will be put together and this will be something out of nothing, and it was done on here!

There is no end all parts list for going fast. 10 seconds is a very high goal for someone who has never touched a Mitsubishi. I would also stray from buying any kind of project car if your not experienced in peicing together a DSM. Buy a well running, clean, and as close to stock as possible DSM. Then, read the link posted below and go from there. Baby steps my friend, those of us with fast DSM's didn't get them overnight. :thumb:

300-400hp
