okay. Evo III setup. I need help

What all should I get for a Evo III setup? Like part wise?

So uhh... should I focus on getting it with the turbo, or the IC? Or does it just.... fit?

It just fits. You'll need a new j-pipe gasket and the bolts to attach it.

Okj so the kind of intercooler I get doesn't matter correct?

Most j-pipes cater to the stock SMIC location. Look at a 1g turbo's setup and you'll understand what I mean. For a FMIC, it depends on where the inlet and outlet are.

If he's only gonna run 9psi boost, why would he get a turbo that doesn't come alive until much higher boost? I'm no N/T-w/turbo guy, so maybe I'm missing something...

I'm thinking about running low, but only till I get my engine all upgraded and rebuilt. I posted in another thread about not getting the Evo, cause I can get a stock 92 tsi 16G turbo w/ wastegate, bolted onto the manifold, for a lot cheaper.

well the higher compression helps response alot.. you will notice less lag and slugishness compared to a motor runing 8.5 or 7.8 compression.


he will get a kick out of it. and since hes getting a deal on the 16g ..
