Okay, trying to get everything ironed out with my car and how its going to be setup. I've got $800 to play with. So far it has mods in profile, some of the things it needs are:
downpipe
exhaust manifold (stock ported or EVO III?)
Ported o2
Fuel Pump (walbro 190 or 255 with afpr?)
Injectors (550cc or 650cc?)
Fuel Management (SAFC II good enough or DSMlink?)
FMIC
MBC

I would like to stick with stock internals. If you have any input into the setup or what to buy first it would be appreciated. Right now at this point it is running 10psi. I would like when all said and done to be running 20psi daily and turn it up at the track with race gas.

First off, you might need alittle more than $800.00 to complete that list and have the car tuned and running properly.

Also, 20PSI daily and then turn it up (~25PSI) at the track with race gas might not be a good decision best suited to your set up. Your Stock HG would blow for sure. I would recommend 16PSI to 18PSI max.

Now for that list of mods: Downpipe is a must, Port out the 2G manifold, O2 ported will do fine, 190LPH Fuel Pump is sufficient for a 16G but if you go with a 255LPH that would work great too (you don't need an AFPR), 550cc are perfect, Super AFC is good to tune up to 660cc injectors, FMIC and IC Pipes are needed, and MBC of course.

Hope this answered all your concerns.

Do you have an Eprom Chip in your ECU?
No I do not, I have a 95 eprom ecu that I got from a friend who was parting out his car.

Yes I understand that it will take more money, I am more interested in finding out what order everyone thinks that I should get everything. I was thinking downpipe and then at the same time port the o2 and manifold. Then get the fuel package from extreme PSI that includes 550cc injectors, walbro 190, and SAFC. I was thinking about getting the XS Power intercooler with short route piping thats on ebay and has the group buy going on right now. Then just getting a Hallman or similar boost controller. Does this seem like a good order?

That sounds like exactly what I would do--supporting mods before the turbo upgrade. You could throw the boost controller in somewhat earlier to get more out of the turbo you're using now if you wanted to.

I think you've misread/misunderstood something. I already have a EVO III 16g turbo on the car. The way that I have been doing my modifications has been when stock things go out I replace them with aftermarket parts. Im asking now what the best order would be for those supporting mods.

If that is indeed the case, then I would do fuel before anything else. Your stock exhaust is actually building enough backpressure to keep boost creep at bay, so in fact I would do that after everything else is done. After your fuel system is upgraded, you could do either the intercooler or exhaust first. With the stock SMIC though you will start heat soaking it very quickly, so it may be more beneficial to do that first since otherwise it'll add another tuning variable.

you will need an AFPR with a 255, this is a given. Just go with a 550/190 combo and you should be fine. Try looking in the classifieds since your limited on $$$:talon:

For $800, I think you could get everything on your list except a FMIC. This assumes you do the work yourself though. I would just get all that stuff and get the front mount when you save a little more for the XS kit.

I know that it would be much wiser to run an AFPR with a 255LPH fuel pump, but what I'm trying to say is that; you can get away with the stock FPR and a 255LPH. The only thing is that if you don't have an AFPR the car will run rich at idle, but that won't kill anything.

If you only have $800.00 and trying to do all of what he wants, he can do without an AFPR. In the future when he gets some more money, then he can invest in an AFPR.

Why would he need a 255 LPH pump to begin with? If he's staying with 550's or hell even 650's at a reasonable boost level and IDC he can get away with a rewired 190.

Thats not necessarily true. We just had a thread about it.

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=231512

Are we talking about running +20PSI on a 6 Bolt or 7 Bolt (6 Bolt has lower compression which has the abillity to run more boost). Also, +20PSI on a Stock HG recommend? I wouldn't.

2gGSX, I never said that a 255LPH was needed. If you read my first post I said that a 190LPH would do the job.

Thats what Im thinking as well. Okay so Fuel it is. Im probably going to try to find 550's and a SAFC on here and then find a fuel pump. Then start messing with everything else.

Don't forget a pocketlogger with that :)

I would do Free mods before anything. ...Other than a general Tune-up
All free mods and general maintenance have already been taken car of.

2gGSX do you have any particular pocketlogger that you reccomend. I have an unused palm at the moment, but am having trouble finding a cable and software to run on it. I have found software MMCD and others but am having trouble getting it onto the palm, I think I need to find a newer driver/interface for it.

Tunerstein (http://students.db.erau.edu/~szabafab/stein/) is free to download and use. Pocketlogger (http://pocketlogger.com/index.php?pid=plobdii) costs money but is commercial. These are the most commonly used dataloggers for a 2g using an AFC or MAFT setup. DSMLink has it's own built in datalogger as well, but that is much more costly.

Everything set aside, I love DSMLink's interface so I would go with that. That is out of a lot of peoples' price range however, so in your case I would go with the Tunerstein program and buy the cable, which they have a link for on their website.
