Anyone have an opinion on oil filters? I hear that there are lousy ones out there. Anyone have any hard facts on them?

My brother wont buy anything but a Wix. I've been trying to sell him on the Pure One's for a while now. The only thing I hate about a Pure One....is there so ugly. Their painted this nasty mustard yeller, with a red seal.

Sounds like a bunch of golfers and bowlers are on here: they like what they use in their sport and are convinced that these chosen units are satisfactory to their needs.

I've ran FRAM for many, many moons without any problems. Course, I do my oil changes when needed.

Same here. I have used Fram for 15+ years on many vehicles...one lasting over 250,000 miles. As long as you change your oil and filter regularly, you'll be fine.

Oh yeah, been using Castrol Oils for the same amount of time too. No problems.
Just change your fluids when your supposed to.

Anyone heard about the Royal Purple Oil Filter. Horsepower TV did a review and they seemed to like it.
