I just ordered my intake and K & N filter from Dejon and now I'm looking for a Catch Can. Does anyone know where I can get one of these? I have looked on some web sites with no luck, with the exception of (i think) Machv for $99.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also does anyone know if any one sells the rubber window trim that goes on the door for the window. You know the one at the top of the main part of the door on the outside. The black coating has pealed off and looks pretty bad.

Thanks in advance! :D

and what half the price?.. still expensive though for a catch can.. but cheaper than buying the greddy one..

Still better than what some vendors are selling for $50. (A cut and painted pipe with glued lid on top/bottom - ghetto  )

how do the rre and greddy catch cans work?? Does the center fitting go inside a filter and the air exit out the outer fitting that is outside the filter causing the filter to filter out the oil?? Whats inside of them??

can somebody explain what the catch can is for?

I know the catch can holds the oil that is coming out from the valve cover caused by pressure. but your not gonna use the oil anyways, why not have a hose pointing downwards and dump the oil outside?

That is exactly what I do. I just put a hose on it and ran it back behind the battery out behind the trans and it dumps out there. So little oil comes out that I never see any under the car or on the car from driving around or at the line even when im using the two step. I know a little comes out cause the pipe has oil traces inside of it but nothing major.

Mind if I dump my crankcase oil on your porch?

It doesn't matter to the engine, it's just the slightest bit more responsible. Oh, and a track won't let you run an open dump, either.

I am going to show you how to use your stock fuel filter mounting bracket to mount the RRE catch can real nice.

First remove your stock fuel filter of course, and remove the bracket from the car (just the clamp part). Then you will notice there is one small bolt which is a 10mm. Remove this bolt and find one just like it that is longer. Pull the clamp open some and slide it over the RRE catch can, then use a vise grips to pull the clamp together a little bit (the part the 10mm bolt goes through).

Put the longer bolt through and tighten it up. Go install it back into the car with the 2 12mm bolts.

Before bolting back into the car you will have to slightly bent the hard fuel line under that area a little bit towards the driver side. (so thats it inbetween the catch can and the rear motor mount). Because I know most of use with SS fuel lines use that line for our return line.

I will attach some pics of the catch can mounted in place, real nice place to have it. And it can be easily removed with those 2 12mm bolts to drain it. No mess all over your engine bay.

Pics show a 2g, but will more than likely work on a 1g too by me just looking at one.

Nice! I think I'm going to do that. So you don't have any kind of bracket holding the inline filter anywhere? Cuz I was originally planning to modify that stock fuel filter bracket to hold the Earl's filter in place. And where's the SS line? I didn't see it in the pics. Any idea if the Jaz catch can is about the same diameter? Looks like it might be, and that's the one I'm thinking of getting.

I havent ran the SS line onto the car yet. The inline filter I have is jsut about the size of -8AN fuel lines. I am using -6AN lines, so the filter basically doesnt need to be mounted really.
Not sure about the Jaz catch can, it its not much bigger in diameter than the stock fuel filter it will fit.

Are you running SS line all the way from the tank/pump, or just from the firewall where the hard line ends?

Running -6AN line from the tank to the fuel rail with a -6AN earls fuel filter inline.

I am then using the stock fuel feedline (from tank to fuel filter) for the return line since it is bigger than the stock return line.
