oil catch can

Car is a 97 gsx eclipse turbo.
Ok now I have read countless threads of people saying there ways of makin a oil catch csn.setup and others say to remove baffle shield under valve cov. Completely. Others say remove it and reweld.it in..others say leave it alone..now my setup.I am.doin is replacing my pcv fitting with with a threaded AN fitting with a ss braided line goin to one fitting on top.of oil catch can. And then drilling and tapping the breather hole. Also puttin a threaded AN fitting on there with ss line goin.to a fitting on top.of oil catch can. Then running a rubber hose from the fitting.on.the bottom of catch can to the nipple on my intake tube...now with that said. Should I take the baffles out in my valve cover. Like cut the shield out? Or leave it alone and run the setup.I just stated? Not to.sure what I should do.from here but I have searched and came up.with so many.different statements..I want the safest mostaffective way..

It's a fully built 6 bolt with 35r setup and I just finished this is literally the last that I have to do to.it before break in period on the motor so I just hear all these remarks of do this do that I'm just more along the lines of reliability. Not preference
I do.see the tip in that article.saying unless.you have a good reason do not do anything.to.the baffles. But then a reputable shop.tells me to remove the guard covering the baffles..there's my confusion..maybe they've found reasons to remove it..

The baffles are there for a reason. Meaning keep them in. Calan has a great reputation and by his article he studied a lot to help the rest of us out with this problem.

I guess your right..just skeptical I guess. As one of my friendds.had a baffel actually break a.piece.off and ruin.his entire motor. And for the amount I've just put into.it. you.could say I'm a little cautious
