I changed my head gasket, now after putting my motor back together . It isn't getting spark from any of the plugs

CEL= Check Engine Light
When you turn the key the check engine light should come one for a few seconds then go away. If it stays on, then the CEL code may be telling you exactly whats wrong with it.

since ive had the car ,three years . the CEL has been on. ive had everyone i know look at it. it wont go off. everyone thinks it wont go off because of the apexi 2 piggyback controler on the ecu

If the check engine light comes on it eliminates the no spark being cause by the ecu, because I had an ecu short out on me once and cause no spark and all this. and I went through everything to find out it was an ecu.

Ahh.. I rememeber that.

Now, by you saying that its getting "no spark" are you meaning that its cranking over and just won't fire up? Or when you turn the key, nothing happens?

it turns over, it gets fuel, just no spark from the spark plugs. so yeah it wont fire up

I would say start by trying to check you coil. If it comes out fine, DOUBLE CHECK the connections. Solved a thread yesterday, the guy kept saying he had a "good connection" and just wouldnt start. Held the wires to the coil and it fired up. That is my I stress good connections, you CAN be mislead. If all of that checks out. Then it could be your ecu. Kstoopsdsm's car was running perfectly fine one day. When he went out the next to start it, it had nothing. Would crank and crank. No fire. As he said it ended up being his ecu.

Certainly sounds like a coil. I think I have a spare around here somewhere.

Yeah, me too. Out in my garage. AKA DSMGraveyard :hellyeah:

While diagnosing, always remember, try the cheaper possible problem before you go buying useless parts.
i.e.- Tracking down a coil would't be that hard to do and you'll pay less for a coil than you will an ecu.
