Yes I have read all the forums and such, before you ask.

I am new to link so please go easy on me. I feel kinda dumb still while I'm using it. I just got it about 2 weeks ago. A few days ago, I installed a walbro 190 pump and 750cc injectors in preparation for my 16g (which I've been waiting a month for from a forum member). I've been doing some practice tuning and adjusting while I'm waiting for the new turbo.

My first question is about the front o2 volts. I have a mtxl wideband in the front o2 position and use nb sim through that. My question is why when it is logged does it look so square? Like it jumps directly from .8v to .2v. There is no in-between like I've seen in so many other logs. Is there something wrong with this?

Next question has to do with idling. I've adjusted my mafcomp and deadtime to get about a .25gm/rev and ftcombined about -3%~3% at idle. However, when I am slowing or coming to a stop, my airflowperrev is at about .30gm/rev and ftcombined drops to about -15% and my wideband afr is rich, around 11.5. All this happens until I tap on the throttle a little. Then everything goes back to where it was set to go. What the heck is this about???

Next question is what is going on with my afr when I let off the throttle? It goes really lean, all the way up (22.4), when I let off. Is it supposed to do that? This didn't happen until I put the walbro 190 and 750cc injectors in the other day.

Thanks for the help!

Here's the log

Did you install a fuel pressure regulator adjustable? it will help with the A/F at idle. It is normal for A/F to jump to lean when you let up on the throttle.

I didn't install a afpr. That was the whole reason I went with the 190 instead of the 255 fuel pump.
Glad to hear that it's normal for a/f to jump to lean.
My biggest question is the idle thing...

Do you have your BOV vented or is it recirculated.

Unfortunately right now it is vented, until I get my 16g and install the new fmic and ic piping with recirculated bov.

This is normal. The narrowband O2 signal is switched; meaning it changes state when the AFR goes above or below a certain point, which is normally 14.7:1. The actual values it switches between are pretty much irrelevant, as long as they are above or below the threshold that the ECU is watching for.

Factory NB O2 sensors produce an analog 0-1v signal, so they usually have more noise and somewhat inconsistent waveforms. Simulated NB signals are digitally created from an analog 0-5v wideband signal, so their waveforms are much more well-defined and almost perfectly square.

My money is on the non-recirculated BOV causing the rich condition between shifts. It's probably the most common (and most discussed) issue with these cars. :)

It's normal. When you let completely off the gas while cruising in gear, the ECU cuts off the injectors, so your WB will go max lean. Once RPM and load drop below a certain point and the idle switch is closed, the ECU will resume firing the injectors to maintain idle.

The bigger problem was the non-descriptive thread title, which I warned you about in the other thread. This thread title isn't much better, by the way. I'll leave it as it's at least in the correct forum.

Next time you should use a thread title that describes the problem in the thread (i.e. Idle issues/questions).

Calan, thanks for the answers. That really helps me out. I'm glad to hear that it's all normal and I'm worrying about nothing. Thanks guys!

Besides the obvious sabotage with the recirculation tube, I can't help but wonder why you would lock the intake temp and barometric pressure sensors, and why lock the MDP sensor.

I didn't know not to actually. They were locked with initial set up. I will definitely unlock them next time I start the car. Thanks!
