ECMlink Link gods I need some advice

According to this, your DT is still off...assuming the Evo 9 injectors match up with the Evo 8's. Your actual DT is the global number added to a value that is interpolated from the InjBatteryAdj DA table, depending on your voltage.

That page shows a slightly different global fuel value as well.

Looks like your TPS is still off just a hair also.

I think I left the dt at 0. And I tried the global as what they have but then I used the global tool they have and put in the injector cc and my base fuel at 43.5 since that is what I've always read is what it is. The tps I was going to adjust by hand, but a member up there said to do the auto adjust so that's what I did.

If the recommended Evo injector dead time is lower than stock, you have to lower the values in the DA table as well as setting the global value to 0. Otherwise you will be at the factory DT value.

According to your log, your DA dead time values are actually higher than stock by about 250us between 12 and 14 volts.

Ok I didn't know that part thanks. So do I just need to basically copy the table from the link you gave me or is that one of those things where they are all different?

Im going to adjust the tps and biss by hand instead of messing with that auto adjust thing. I'll have some more logs for you all tomorrow.

That's what I would do. Should be pretty close assuming it's accurate data for those injectors. (I've never run Evo injectors, so I have no idea where their dead times usually end up).

The TPS adjustment tool works fine...you may have to run it a couple of times though. Start a stream with the car off and no throttle...let it stream for a bit and then push the gas pedal to the floor for 3-4 seconds, and then let completely off. Let it stream a few more seconds and then stop the stream and run the tool.

Get your car tuned up and running nicely...that's thanks enough. ;)

I'll do my best LOL. I didn't really know anything about dsms before I got mine, and so far I've done everything to it with help from this site. So one day I will be able to tune LOL.
 
Ok I think I got the idle dialed in finally. Tps keeps bouncing between .65 and .67 every time I use the tps adjust tool. My iac is staying from 28-30 and I couldn't get it to saty at 30 regardless of what I did. My afpr is 23-25ish and my combined fuel trim is going from -2 to 0 after I got my maf dialed in. I changed the da table to the values posted in the link and it let me get a little closer but my dt is still 0 if I take it up at all the cft just goes further into the negative. I'm gonna try and do the maf comp adjust tool and then I'll make a cruise log for you all. I'm on my phone right now so I can't post one yet.
 
ok here are some logs the first on is my cruise after I used the Auto Maft adjust tool. It is interrupted by a random misfire dtc at the end, but im not sure why :confused:. I noticed the CEL so I pulled Over when I could and checked to see what is was and it was that so i cleared it and started the car back which is where the second log takes over.

Looks about normal to me, although the AFR seems to be searching a bit. Do some cruising at some higher RPM's (around 3k-3.5k) where the AFRs smooth out a little more, and post up an idle log with the car warmed up.

Ok so you want me to warm the car up and get a log then do a cruise around 3-4k and post up the log? Or do the cruise and then a idle log? Like I said I'm just trying to learn as I go with all this. I am being pretty good about not going wot though LOL.
And so more good news after I stopped and started looking into the random misfire cel I found my plug wire had slipped off the coil pack, I guess I didn't push it all the way on when I put new plugs in before I started messing with tuning.
 
Doesn't matter what order. Just get the car warmed up, and log a minute or two of idle (with ISCPosition and AirFlowPerRev captured). Then log a cruise where you hold the RPMs at 2500 for 10 seconds, and then 3000, and 3500...assuming you have some flat road and can do it safely and legally. ;)

Ok will do and I'll make sure I'm safe but that's all I can promise LOL.

And on a sidenote is tuning a 4g64 block with a 4g63 head much different than tuning a 4g63. I'm just wondering because I'm probably going to start building my stroker with a spare 4g64 my buddy gave me this spring. After that I guess it will be the search for the awd swap LOL. But all that's another day another dollar, I'll stick to learning about the tuning this thread LOL.

Nope...tuning is tuning, whether it's a 4g63 variant or a more modern EFI motor. There are obviously differences in the mechanicals, knock thresholds, timing, AFRs, etc...but the concepts are the same.

As for ECMLink, it's basically the same from one motor to another, other than minor variations in what each motor likes.

Ok here is the new logs you wanted. To me everything looks pretty good, but as we both know im a noob at it LOL. Anyway please feel free to give any input and whatever you think I should do next. I used what you taught me to clip the log though LOL, so I am learning something. Also the Idle log was right after the cruise so im sure its up to temp.

That doesn't look bad, but I'm not sure why your AFRRatioEst and AFR's are cycling a full point and so perfectly in sync with the O2 signal. It almost looks like your WB has a slow response or something.

Maybe Brian can shed some light on that.

Just for giggles, lock the ECU in open loop and pull another similar cruise log.
 
Where is your wideband sensor placed in the exhaust? Since he's using narrowband sim, that may be the case Craig. I'm not sure how you see those two as "almost too perfect" - care to elaborate on this? I am viewing just the AFRatioEst and wideband signals and they're close, but not lining up perfectly.

Did your stock MAF really take that much adjustment to get AirFlowPerRef set? That seems awfully high in the low Hz values.

Ok will do. It may have something to do with me running my wb in the front housing and it an "awesome" aem uego. Lol but maybe he can help.

I dunno...it's probably nothing. I just can't recall seeing the AFRatioEst track like that. The idle actually looks really solid though, although ISCPosition is a tad low.

Did your stock MAF really take that much adjustment to get AirFlowPerRef set? That seems awfully high in the low Hz values.

Kind of looks like a small vac leak somewhere. I've seen that exact comp curve several times with the VC/PCV valve vented pre-MAF (AKA on a GM MAF in blow-through or with an open VC breather).

That's the only way I could get the mac to work even when I did the auto maf adjust it turned the 50 hrz up a little more but I brought it back down and left the rest. An the wb is in the stock location. And sorry for the out of place post, but I'm on my phone.
