I bought a 95 eclipse gs last summer and it has these modifications:
T3T4 Turbo
Custom Front mount intercooler
Ported and Polished Head and intake
Forged Steel Eagle rods and pistons
Marren injectors(?cc)
3" downpipe no cat 3' straight pipe
Zeitronix Zt-2 Wideband
420a Engine Management with TUnerStudio MS
The car drove great for a month, great power, turbo sounded nice, blowoff valve sounded stong, nice boost, I think around 16 afr. I decided to service a small, steady oil leak. I parked it. When I finished it up I connected the battery opposite and tried to start. No smoke or crazy sparks, but it did fry my volt regulator in ecu, I installed an external volt regulator, I tied into a minor wire going into dash,( tried other wires too, but ever since then The turbo wont boost and the car backfires at 5-6 rpm. I dont think I fried anything else but I could use some feeback.I am new to turbos and tuning, but I bought the car to learn.
Any help would help, I am learning TunerStudio now. Is the solution in the tune? Where do I start, the turbine looks fine on air filter side. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know every reader is thinking that im dumb for taking on such a big project. But I have always liked cars, and I have a good general grasp on how an engine and turbo works. Just very green
Thank you.
