new engine and auto to 5spd swap..

im buying a spare engine and transmission and rebuilding both outside the car then i am pulling my engine and trans which is an automatic and im putting the new engine and 5spd trans in. Is there anything else im going to need other than the engine, trans., wiring harness, and ecu? because i feel like alot would be missing

Sorry forgot to mention that this is on my non turbo. The 420a its a 2G.

im not just doing a trans swap im building a spare engine and rebuilding a trans and then swapping both out that write is good when i change the shifter but i need to know what else i need to get if there is anything else.

Yes this isn't about the engine swap but I'm not sure you read the whole writeup as this not just about changing the shifter. It shows the different parts you will need, like the trans mount and roll stop brackets which are different. Also it shows the wiring changes you will have to do to the backup and clutch interlock switches and the ECU differences. You can't just bolt the tranny up and go as I found out.

I'm others will chime in on the motor swap.

i have read that before but i think the brackets and everything will already be with the engine and trans and i am getting another ecu so really i guess i do have everything and the clutch pedal assembly and shifter set up with linkage and everything is in that write up
