I decided to spice up my interior a little bit. I did the black interior swap and the only thing left was my headliner, which was a boring tan color. I didn't want to spend the time or effort recovering it with a material no one was going to notice, so I went with something that matched the rest of the black/pink theme that is going on with the rest of my car.

I know people are going to either love or hate it, and yes, I've already heard the "Euro only" comments, LOL. I don't believe Euro's should be the only ones rocking this pattern, just like I dont believe boys should be the only ones rocking boosted cars :thumb: Anyways, I love it, and my opinion is the only one that matters because I'm the only one staring up at it every day, LOL.

Just thought I'd share anyways because it took a lot of work (especially the visors, haha) ;)

Edit: I recovered my door panel inserts and shift boot to match :) (This is it, though. I dont want TOO much to the point it looks tacky, LOL.)

You know, I kind of like it! I wish I lived closer, I'd pay you good money to redo the headliner in my 99! I think for me though (I'm an old fogie,) I'd go with my boring tan or maybe change it to black just so it wouldn't get dirty so easily. Yours looks great and it is your car so do what you want!

Well I have a garage at my house, so I'm going to program the buttons on the drivers side visor to work. And as a girl, I actually use the little mirror when I sit in the passenger seat, LOL. So I wanted to keep my visors.

Thanks for the compliments, it would be nice to think I'm the first to do plaid. If not, I know I've influenced a couple people to go the "different" direction instead of doing something plain when they recover their own headliner :D

Very unique! What did you use to paint the plastic pieces in black? Krylon Fusion??

Duplicolor Vinyl and Fabric Coating, Gloss black

Dammit and I was hoping it was going to be Zebra/Leopard print.

Honestly, Zebra/leopard print were my next choices!! Lol

What the hell are you doing sitting in the passenger seat? You shouldn't be letting anyone else drive the dizzum! :)

I'm a drinker, and my boyfriend is the only person I trust to be my designated driver. And he lets me drive his Evo ;)

Nicely done. I probably wouldn't have picked plaid, but to each their own. It's unique and you like it, so that's all that really matters.

Thinking about the Zebra/Leopard... from what little I know about your style, I'd probably have guessed some genuine fur from something dangerous.

Props on a job well done anyways.

Thanks guys, I'm really happy with the way it came out. Especially considering it was my first attempt :D

Update: added photos of my matched door panel inserts and shift boot :D

I LOVE IT! Because me and my friend actually did it in his 90 Accord! Except we used "cars" from Disney as the shift boot and panels ;) but anyways I know exactly how much time and effort goes Ito it, looks legit! :thumb:

You did a really great job on the visors. I tried and tried to get mine and finally said to heck with it so I shaved them off the headliner. I kept the homelink and used bondo/fiberglass to shave the whole front of the headliner.

Your in Jacksonville right?

with the black leather interior it flows really well, that's about the only color you could pull that off with, i like it though.

Yea, if I didn't do my black interior swap, I wouldn't have done something so wild with the headliner and everything else. I'm really big on matching and having everything flow well.

I just redid my headliner and wanted to do the visors another day, but I read somewhere that the 2g visor tends to crack when opened up?

Do you have any suggestions?

I too am curios about the sun visors. I have the fabric to do my 3 2gs and Ive done the headliner before but tried to open up the visors and failed. Any tips??
