One of my friends needed a manifold and downpipe so we worked out a little trade. Heres what i have so far. I also took a stab at making a collector. Pretty happy overall.

Wow, great job on the header so far. It is looking like a cool project.

I assume you drilled and tapped an aluminum block to make your "purge" system? I have seen the tube plugs for sale before. Would you mind divulging where you got those materials?

Nicely done, wish I could practice some on my TIG but the rent on the tank killed me.

I'm jelly

Yes the "purge block". What kind of price would they be? Feel free to p.m. me a price if you don't want to post it.

I've been looking into the certiflat weld tops. Also I know that they are cheap but I really love my ahp alpha 200 it's a 2016 model that has a shit load of functions. I've been using it for over a year without any issues other than having to adjust the high frequency contacts. For 680 shipped it's a great hobby machine, the everlast machines look awesome to. I have nothing against Miller's but the cost of admission.

My first machine was a longevity 200sx, chinese machines are great until you have a problem..... they took that “warranty” and shoved it up my ass

I've heard that also, I know I'm boned if I have issues in the future with it. When I was looking for a tig I went on the welding forums and looked at what a lot of guys were using and liked that's why I ended up with the ahp. From the get go I knew the warranty would probably more useful as toilet paper from any of the Chinese brands ahp included. Being my first machine and not knowing how to tig I wanted a cheap good machine (typical dsm fashion) so far as I learn and get better I've really liked it. But when it does die I'll probably grab a better name one.

Take my advice.....if you love working on cars and have tons of tools save up and get yourself something nice. The longevity cost me 1000 bucks. Now its a paper weight. Now I have a miller and want to upgrade again. Save yourself alot of hassle. If anything go pick up the new harbor freight tig, its actually really good and you can buy a warranty. You can actually go to the store

Thanks whenever it kicks I'll get to looking. Currently its suiting my skill level pretty well. I definitely wouldn't put my trust in it to provide for the family LOL. If it makes it a few more years I'll invest in a better machine for sure. Now carry on and post up more progress shots

So much to do......so little time :banghead:

It appears to some that im trying to sell my manifolds on the website. I dont even know how a nurse could compete with the 100s of others selling really nice stuff. Because of that im gunna keep my posting off of tuners......keep up the good work boys

Wow that's a sick piece! I want one! ;)

Agreed, it looks very good, nice work!! On a different topic I don't understand how this thread has anything to do with AMSRN13 trying to sell a manifold, this looks to me like someone who is looking for advice on fabbing skills for his own use and showing off what he has learned.. :idontknow:

I was just annoyed .... but i get it. Heres the finished stuff. Ill just make sure to clarify in my post that” I DO NOT SELL ON THE WEBSITE” heres what i got, Once u make these things you realize why they charge what they do. Making a collector is alot of work.....so much prepwork. The manifold was made out of 316 stainless, minus the tial flange as they only make them in 304
