New clutch or no?

I have to do my rear main, oil pan, and front main seal. So while im at it might as well do my clutch while im there. According to previous owner there is stage 3 racing clutch installed rated up too 600hp. No actual proof though, as I am on a tight budget, if it looks good reuse or new? if so, should i do oem or a different clutch. While it's apart, try your best to identify what it is. Lies or complete ignorance from previous owners are common, especially when the oft-used "stage" moniker is used. Always makes me laugh; more so when they're in the form of stickers on a car.

anyway, if you really can't identify what it is, but trust their opinion and the clutch looks good, run it and see what it holds or when it explodes.

or put something you trust in. nobody else can make that decision for you. Buying some off the dusty shelf "OE" replacement clutch is just as good/bad as using some unknown piece already installed.

I would inspect the clutch and components. If you are unsure of what your looking for, take to a shop you trust to have them inspect the parts. I would run it if it seems fine to you. I myself, would rather run what you have and save up for a better clutch. Like many of us, you will get the mod bug and need something that will hold more power.
