We went out testing a couple times late this season to try and squeak a little more out of the setup. There were some gains with a turbine wheel change (bigger, now an 87mm inducer) and a little more boost. In late September we did some 1/8mi racing and clicked off a few new-best 1.27 60' times, then went back again October 20th.
The second run on October 20th was the kicker, this time still at ~42psi:
1.241 60' << new best
3.475 330' << first time in the 3.4's
5.332 at 131.17mph 1/8th << first time in the 5.3's
6.920 at 153.63mph 1000'
8.276 at 165.57mph 1/4mi
As far as I can find, this is the quicker to the 60' than the GM Hot Rod class cars were back a few years ago when they were running NOPI/NHRA series. The best I could find was a 1.25 60' on their required 28x10.5" tires, the same as I'm running. I'm VERY happy about the car's short times and I'm confident I can even knock off a little bit more.
To wrap up the season we made it out again Nov 7th. This time we were able to run a little higher boost. The track wasn't quite as great as it was on the 20th, but it was still pretty darn good.
Third pass of the day at 46psi and really rich:
1.272 60'
3.530 330'
5.345 at 133.85 1/8mi
8.249 at 168.64 1/4mi
Fourth pass was the last, same boost but a little cleaner:
1.284 60'
3.513 330'
5.330 at 134.36 1/8mi
8.214 at 168.48 1/4mi
During the last pass something went tight in the trans during the shut-down area at about 60mph. I don't know what happened yet, but there is potential that something shook loose in the trans with the 2.3l now spinning at 9650 through the traps. There are definitely a few details to be ironed out and the car will definitely get quicker early next season.

Now it is time to finally get my new TRE trans into my EVO. It has been sitting on jack stands in my driveway for a few weeks since we were trying to squeeze the last bits out of the drag car before the snow!
