New 16G Dyno Numbers on C16

damn nice numbers all around. 122k on the stock 7bolt and 460HP. I think thats a new benchmark in DSM history. Instead of people being skeptical lets celebrate this with a beer. This makes me realize that you no longer need anything bigger than a 20G for a street car. : )

This is great and all, but if you guys have all the money like you keep bragging about, why the hell dont you do one of your magic tunes on a bigger turbo and break sheps record.

I don't see anywhere that they are bragging about have tons of money to spend on a car.

If I actually cared enough to point it out I would, but i dont. Its also in another thread about this. evo 16g vs fp 18g

Have you seen Andrews car? I wouldn't say they're going to break shep's record but it wouldn't surprise me to see them deep into the 8's this year.

I want to see it. Im just asking why they dont try and break it. It would be nice to see another awd dsm going in and competing against shep.

Nicely Put....it'd be nice to just skip that period between 7.9's and 9.0's though ;)
P.S. We're a bunch of poor college students with no time. :(

We never "bragged" about it, simply stated the facts. John is one of mine and Andrews close friends, and we have spent many nights drinking hoegarrden and yeger to PGR4. We never claimed to compete with shep, nor will we.

For the last time, there is NO MAGIC TUNE. I'm no better than the other tuners in the world, but Andrew, the TPG Team, and I know how to build and setup a drag car, its that simple.

Very well put, but i asked a question before and it must have got burried and missed. Was the car on a bone stock ignition with good wires or was there some sort of ignition amplifier, MSD box, etc on it?

very nice mubers by the way..would you be willing to share any timing info? If not i won't be upset, as a tuner myself there are certain things i just don't tell ( but mainly that's all setup material so i can keep my stand alone install work coming in :D )

:tease:
I'm homosexual.
;)

btw is it sad I'm communicating with you in hopes you read this, which I know you will...Come down here this weekend I'll be here since I have no life and shitloads to do!!!

p.s. WTB 80% more of a 42R! :rocks:

WOW!

How did I miss 2 pages of BS in four days out of the country.

FINAL POST:

Secrets are secrets. There are reasons why our car and Curt's are faster than everyone else, and if we shared everything that would defeat the purpose of our research.

The car made the power on an AWD dynojet, STD correct which was 1.03 (3%). It was on a ported E316g. No special turbine housing, comp cover, or bigger compressor wheel. A goddamn E316g.

We don't have to prove this to anyone, and when you see the car at the track this summer you'll know that the numbers are correct.

Now get off your keyboards and try n catch us :).

Good shit Nate... Maybe one day you'll get bored and see what you can do with a 16g on a 2.3L... haha... see you around.

I want to see someone comprete with shep, until then im calling you guys ####ies. Im just kidding, but obviously you guys have the skill/money/time, so why not?

Shep just isn't competition and won't ever be considered that, as Nate stated he's a really good friend of his and Andrews. Our only real competition is ourselves, if we can bring all the tools, make a clean pass, not've broken anything, and then make a pass faster than that next time. :)

There was an ignition booster and COP setup.

Not an MSD, i dont even know what it was, all i know is it works good on my 2g. :D

SBR Joe or LaserAWD would you be willing to PM me some info on a good ignition setup. I would like to avoid COP if possible. I just want some extra sspark energy and am torn between the DIS-2, The AEM unit and the Crane HI-6.

I'm not trying to set any records, as i'm FWD and we all know that a FWD dsm isn't going to far past 11's ( at least that i've seen) I'm just trying to get rid of that occasional misfire in higher boosts. Big wires and small plug gaps have helps so far, but i'd like an ignition system that would allow me to run a little more gap for my own reasons, not to mention when i do push it further boost wise. My only goal is to get back to my previous 468hp (made on race gas) so I can have it back in my profile :D. right now i'm stuck at 332 on pump gas, but that should have been more but too much went wrong that dyno day :(

I just wish i have never sold most of my previous setup...it was pretty much the same as what i run now, but the combo was working better than my current one which by now should be about equal or better than before.

Just pull the line and boost that mother ####er to the moon LOL and tune the hell out of it

Pay for the machining on my spare block (needs a line bore on the mains and cylinder bore) and help me put it in and you got a deal. As a matter of fact if anyone wants to come to NE, help me change the block if it blows ( i am waiting on a back surgery so i can't work on heavy stuff that well anymore), and bring a set of pistons and i'll pay for the machine work and we'll run this focker till she pops on the dyno :D

I HIGHLY doubt anyone will step up, but i just can't afford the pistons and the machine work both right now, so if some one wants to see it done i'm gonna need some financial help LOL LOL LOL

This is a joke by the way, but if some one does go through the trouble to do the above, i'll honor my word and get dyno time and run it till she either pops or makes 450+whp again :D

That is a really nice kitchen. No get those car parts out of there before your Mom kicks you butt. LOL

I love this thread and all the fighting back and forth. It makes my day at work brighter.
