New 14b Best - 11.271 @ 120.62

Went to the Thursday night test n tune after hacking the MAS a little. Started tuning from scratch. Finished the night with an 11.50 @ 116 followed by an 11.59 @ 119. The track closed up and I wasn't happy with the tuning so I went back out today.

It was "Runday Sunday". Great track prep and 99% slick tire cars so the track didn't fade much. 1st run off the trailer was an 11.54 @ 119. Never put the timing light back on it. Just fiddled with the AFC and ran 11.40, 11.325, 11.329 @ 120 and finally 11.271 @ 120.62.

This is with the setup on my website and a set of FP1 Cams I was trying out.

My plans now will be to tear into it a little. Install the welded diff tranny, switch to a liquid to air intercooler, lighten it up a tad more and possible get into a Haltech or something.

sorry im semi new to the DSM world, I have a close to stock 95 GSX, the 14b is better than the stock T25 on mine correct? How does the 14b compare to the T28?

Car is light. I'm not. People arent making much more that 300HP on 14bs. You tell me how light a car needs to be to run 11.27 on 300 hp. Assuming I'm making that much.

Let's see, I dynoed 289/304 on my 14b, and ran 12.5 @ 110 in a 3200 lb w/driver car. i'd venture to guess that you're about 2000-2100 w/driver. Are you running a 7cm housing?

If I remember correctly he's using a 1g exhaust manifold, 6cm housing, and 1g o2 housing.

6cm housing. It does have a 3" O2 eliminator DP. I think I posted somewhere that it had a stock O2 by accident. Whoops.

Probably would run 10s with the right driver. Don't get me wrong. I can drive my ass off... But I weigh 260.

I dynoed 321/358 on my 6cm 14b, and ran a 12.5@109 in my galant weighing 3400 with driver. Some people were skeptical about my slowboy dyno numbers, but I'm pretty convinced they're accurate. Steve, what boost were you running? I was plugging away at 25psi on the dyno and at the track. Boost held better at the track though. Here's a link to my dyno info:
