I'm exicted about that
it kinda sux, because i have the mph for a 12.0 run but its not happening, i just got an AFC so once its tuned hopefully i can be around that, that would be awesome, i want to make it lighter but i did just about everything i know to lighten it up already(light wheels, sound deadener removed, no ac, no power steering, no rear or front bumpers, no passenger seat, and a light sparco seat for me), the only other thing i can think of is a carbon fiber hood, i don't know how people get there car weighing 2500lbs..

anyway I'm really souped on my mph

because that dude "Phil1320" went 12.02-stock ic/pipes,injectors, NO fuel control,
so i figured if he had 450s and is going 12.02 why not keep them..
i also had no fuel control...
same thing with "ArticTsi" stock injectors, even stock fuel pump....

(sry to Phil1320 and ArticTsi, because i dont know your real names) but hi im Jason

you dont need much to go fast with a 14b
 
Wow I hope I can do close to those numbers here is my setup:

6 bolt motor stock

450cc injectors
walbro 255lph fuel pump
DSMLINK V2
boost set at 14 psi (DSMLINK reads 12-13 psi)
14B turbo
3 inch exhaust with high flow 3 inch exhaust
FMIC 26x12x3 with 3 inch outlets with 2.5 inch piping
1g BOV


So far at 14-15 psi I had no knock no nothing, just running a little rich. You think I can crank it to 18-20 psi?
 
If you do some good tuning with that dsmlink you can. Watch your knock and EGT temps.
It's nice to see some guys are still sticking with the 14b, other then 94tsiawd (project goodwill) it seems like everyone has given up on it. I haven't seen anything recently from the guys who were trying to chase down that awd record. I'm hoping to have my 14b setup ready to run by spring so I can start chasing down that 11.674. Might take a while but someone will get there.
 
Man its been over a year since i've sold my 4th dsm to Vtecrex and just reading this thread is making me tempted to go find a cheap dsm to play with for some fast 14b times for next year. I'm concentrating on a house now so maybe if i get a place next year with a concrete slab to work with.
