I have a 91 TSI with a JDM Tranny (FWD and AWD) and because I blew one of the axles on my 3 bolt I hav been driving around on FWD... Its normal for my car to spin the front tires where there is severe wheel hop, in 1st gear. In second gear the tires just spin like heck w/o wheel hop.
All of the sudden I lose A SHIT LOAD of power to the point where my tires don't even spin in 1st gear or second. I don't get it! It all started when my alternator went out. Once replaced the car hasn't been the same power wise. I changed my fuel settings so that I can run 20 pounds of boost on 100 octane, and it was working fine until my alternator went out. I decided to play it safe and change the fuel settings for 16 pounds just to be safe.
IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEA WHAT COULD BE CAUING THIS POWER LOSS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO RESPOND, IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

did you check for boost leak yet?
yea yea I did check and there were no leaks... I did have a DSBC still hooked up and set on my steering wheel collumn and just didn't run it with boost... I used the manual one set at roughly 16 pounds. When I tried to disassemble the Blitz DSBC a vacuum leak started so I just pushed the line back into the connecter that it was originally in. I don't know if I need to seal that better but I think it's secure.
