That I definitely wouldn't mind. I just didn't want to go shift box as of right now. Is there a write up somewhere for this mod?

Somewhere around here there is. I'll do some digging later and see if I can find one. I find my best results ironically not searching this website, but using google and searching dsmtuners. Like "2g kiggly shifter mod dsmtuners".

Edit - LOL, I searched those exact words just now and found this.

It was so much easier having it like this versus under the car. I will also be cleaning everything up while I wait on parts.

No your good! It's all good I just wasn't sure on some stuff but I did watch a couple videos on the valve body so it should be good. I appreciate all the help. I just didn't want the pan off my trans for to long, my dog sheds like absolute crazy.

Heard that.

I could knit sweaters for days. Thats why when I crack something open, I need to literally hustle to get it closed back up. Oh and no painting cars.

It's definitely not spit polish perfect but I'm alot happier with it now than how it was before. I was getting into all the small places with a rag and screw driver, that was as good as I could get it.

Cute boy. I assume boy? Yah I literally take a whole day to transform garage to painting booth. So basically need three days for every painting project. Very slow going obviously. Not quite as bad now though having to put one of them down recently due to cancer. :barf:

Everyone guesses boy but it's a girl and she's 6 years old already. I can't beleive how fast time flies. I'm sorry for your loss :( I have maybe 4 years left and she'll be gone. I don't think I'll ever be trying to paint again until I have no animals.

Thank you! She is quite the adventure. I have her mainly to guard my pride and joys in the garage. She does a very nice job of that. The wife also does daycare so it makes more sense to keep her where I'm at most.

On a side note I should have my bushing today, so I can throw the transmission back in. My garage is an absolute pit right now. I also should hopefully have my end clutches too.
I dont know if I said anything about my alternator, but that thing died last Friday also. The domino effect is hitting me pretty good right now.

Well today I was able to install that infamous pilot bushing and end clutches. But I'd be lying if I said it all went smooth. The c clip that holds the deal down went flying off into Tim buck two. Luckily I have a spare auto lying around so I took that one and made sure to be careful putting that in. So I don't know if I like yanking these autos, they are an absolute dog to swap. This thing absolutely rocked my world, and not in a good way. I got tossed around like a rag doll but I did eventually get it in after modifying my jack. It should all be smooth sailing from here and I'm hoping and praying that I did everything right. I swapped torque converters with the other spare auto and I really hope it's good. I didn't want to chance running mine with all the glitter in it.

No pics on that work ?

I was in the absolute zone so of course no pictures. The pilot I did compare it to the one in my other engine. The end clutches were from ipt and I had the video up just in case. I just wanted to make sure everything was right this time around. The only thing that is actually kind of concerning is i have no idea the condition of my other used torque converter i slapped in. Also the pilot bushing pounded in hard but then it was kind of free wheeling in the crank. I could spin it while it was in, so i have no idea if thats how its supposed to be or not.

Well I was second guessing myself so I pulled the transmission again even though it was all back together. I took pictures, I really don't know which side the spacer goes. I feel like it can only go on the outside because of the lip on the pilot bushing. I also think I'm missing one for the other side. I had to fight a rounded bolt too which sucked heavily.

Alright so I have the car wrapped up and I double checked every nut and bolt torqued to spec. The trans feels literally brand new, it shifts nice and firm and the spare torque converter I had laying around seems to work and it works better than the one that was in it. I'm super pumped everything finally turned out great. The trans used to flare if I gave it light throttle, now it just shifts firm right to the next gear. I'll drive the car a few miles and then change the fluid again with a brand new filter.

The belt got pretty chewed up and all sorts of garbage got lodged in between the pulley and belt. I'll be replacing it all anyways, I always have brand new spares waiting on the side for situations like this.

Luckily I do have a spare timing cover and I might just order a fluidampr. I don't know if I can trust these old ones anymore. It sucks because the timing cover that got destroyed was a brand new oem one, the spare I have is a little beat up but should work.
