negative camber

general question: i've made my own rear camber plates by cutting solid steel plugs. I have eight 1/2" thick and eight more 1/4" thick.

my talon is about 1.5-1.75 inches lower than stock, how much spacing should I use? I don't know if i should go with just the 1/2" spacer, or use both and have 3/4" of spacing.

if you've dropped your car around the same amount, and you happened to measure how much spacing you used to correct it, can you please help me out. thanks!

(they're 2" OD, 3/8" ID, drilled out of hardened steel plates, 5 coats of red x-o-rust on all sides to match the AGXs)

The only way to know for sure is to have the camber checked first. You could add some and eyeball it to get it close but it will only be accurate if you get an actual reading.

Half an inch of spacers will add about 1.2° positive camber.

awesome! thanks for the helpful info. So i can correct 0.6, 1.2, or 1.8 degrees depending on which spacers I use.

i tried to measure and calculate my negative camber a month ago or so.. but.. all i had to use was a T-angle to sit agaist the wheel, a level on the ground, and then i found the angle between the two lines. , yes i know that is probably not the proper way to do it but it gave me an idea at least. i don't remember the number, but i thought it was more than -1.8 degrees.

can anyone give me an example of how much lowering causes how much negative camber?
ex: you lowered your car 2 inches and then you had -3 degrees of camber, etc.
