negative or positive wastegate

Hi. I have Question about my wastegate. is it a posotive or negative pressure i cant seem to get my boost controller to work right. can any boost controller work on my car or is their a certain type that i have to get.

A wastegate is opened by positive pressure(boost)..A bov is opened by negative(vacuum) pressure..

yeah somebody was trying to tell me that it was a negative pressure on my car i didn't belelive it but was just making sure thanks again
