If it's possible does anyone have pics of this? I'm looking to buy a used hx35 from a member here in the next month or so and although i've searched the forums i keep finding "red x's" and pictures of 1g cars with the driver (A/C fan removed)

I really want to install this turbo, but if i can't keep the fans i will have to re-think my choices. I've ran on slim-line (spal) fans before and they just didn't do the job in the summer with the AC cranked, and i must retain AC since this is my DD and i don't want it overheating everytime i need to cool off.

You may be forced into picking up the DUAL Flex-a-Lite fans.

They work a lot better because of the full integrated shroud. That shroud makes a world of difference.

Only draw back is their price.

I myself don't know for sure if you would have enough clearance for your HX35 but do know for sure that if they do fit they will keep up with your cooling needs.

Not sure if this helped you or not........................ :coy:

Are you still running a stock radiator?

The setup I really like is a punishment racing radiator and their two 12inchers mounted as pushers, but since you have A/C you really cant do that. but you could get their shrouded setup, and add small 10incher or something like that to the front of the AC condensor maybe?

I don't think you're going to be able to keep the stock fans with an hx35, unless you get one with a smaller compressor housing which i think some of the H1C's have.

Just get a slimline for the AC. Seems like that'd be your best bet.

Yup, stock radiator and both stock fns ( it was the only way to kep the car cool in 100* temps while running the AC) I don't mind putting a slim line on the AC side though..it's the main BIG fan i don't want to give up..so that's good news thanks!

I'm running an HX35 on both stock fans. My A/C fan was cut from the begining for my external wastegate off my manifold, but other than that all I had to do was shave the blades a little bit and everything fit.

Hey turboglenn not sure if you are still looking for pics of this or not but I did install my HX40 with both stock fans. Now I did have a mix of 2g and 1g fans so I am not sure which are which:hmm:. I did have to cut the pass. side shroud a little to clear the vband clamp but I did get them both in there just let me know if you need pics. I should also mention I do have a punishment alum radiator which I think is thicker so I would say you should have less problems.

I don't have pictures either so sorry, but I also ran OEM fans with my HX-35 setup, it was a very tight fit though, considering my T3 manifold put the turbo closer to the fans and away from the water pipe/block, but everything fit pretty much perfectly. OBX old style T3 manifold was used.

Did you have shrouds with the slim fans? im also have the same idea and a friend of mine told me that the stock faans/shroud is better than slimlimes or spals.. But how would it compare to slimlines and a shroud??
