Need New Coilovers So Whats the Best Bang for Your Buck?

Most will tell you that the D2s, K-Sports, Megan Racing, and that other one are all pretty much the same they will do what you need to do, but when pushed to their limit they may not be able to handle it. I know 1g guys looking for a decent setup usually look at the Koni shocks and Ground Control perch kit.

There is no "best" for under $1k; there is only a "least bad." Several of the options that are in contention for "worst" have been mentioned above.

But the OP knew all this from his searches. I just saw a bunch of zeros and ones sitting around on the web doing nothing and thought I'd give them some exercise.

I've had Megan's for two years, Never had an issue. They have seen 2 full Utah winters, a Full summer of daily driving (Construction roads FML) A few Auto-X events, and more then I can count Drag strip trips.

I did get a really, really good deal threw a group buy with locals, but they aren't very expensive normally.

From everything I have read there not worth the $$$ if your not will to spend over $1400 on a good set. I'd have koni yellows and GCs and there awesome.

BC coilovers has me convinced based on the performance of competition vehicles, and word of drivers.

In the B15 Sentra community I saw K-sport blowouts left and right. Numerous people have had them blow out, numerous rebuilds etc. One particular online (2j-racing) BC vendor said they would replace a failure no problem. Whether that applies also to us I don't know. I'm not trying to advocate for them or anything but they're the only ones that have options for them.

Tiens I hear better things about. They're just a little too expensive for my taste.

Ohlins are awesome, but they make nothing for the DSM community. I bet you could get a set custom though.
