I was looking at the ebay intercoolers thread and i wanted to post in there...But i'm still a noob and just wondering if any of you guys can lead me to the right to the right one. This would be for my 1998 gst. So if you have one let me know or let me know who to stay away from thanks!

WOOT! I got it today! Now i need to pick up another copuler and tbolts. Also i was reading for ten pages on the main ebay thread and for a big116g turbo i need to get a different j pipe of dejon. Is the COP-J The right one? http://dsm.dejonpowerhouse.com/

That pipe has been used by a few guys successfully. I personally used an Extreme PSI J-Pipe and it also works great.

Sorry to be a newbie...but what's the J-pipe for?....isnt kinda like a down-pipe? and do you need it if you're getting a t3/t4 50 trim turbo?

I am on page 14 of the 44 page thread on ebay fmic and just wanted to know for sure if the kit that comes with the group buy is or is not a short route. I finally got my paypal figured out and will be ordering the fmic within the hour.

Thanks for the quick reply. A question for anyone who has done the group buy and payed with paypal. I pm'd justin, who started the group buy and i gt no response. So i went ahead and emailed ssautochrome. How did you send your payment through email with paypal, and how long did it take to recieve the fmic.

Well i email them like 12 at night and they got back to me like at one..I asked them for there pay pal and sent it on wendsday and got the FMIC on tuesday!

Thanks for your input, i still have not recieved any emails from ssac but still checking. Right now i still have the t25 and hoping i will have enough money really soon to get the evo 3 16g. Should i wait until i get the new turbo to put the kit on, and will the j pipe in the 2g install kit fit with the ssac kit? Or should i put it on the car right now with the t25, and if so where should i buy this j pipe from?

Ok i ended up getting a 14b turbo for now..But if i wanna put the ebay FMIC form ssauto cani use a 90 degree coupler to make it work? Or do i need a different J pipe?

I used a 90* coupler with my 14B/SSAC FMIC. I will get you some pics later to show you my setup. Like I mentioned earlier, I DID have to buy a J-Pipe from Extreme PSI. Before I get pics my setup looks like this: You will notice that I didnt use the 90* pipe that the FMIC kit provides. I got around cutting the LICP by not using that piece and using the 90* coupler instead.

Cool thanks. I was just looking at the coupler i have and it is alot bigger then my J pipe. Do you think if i put a t clamp on there and just tighten it down super tight it would work?

How big is the coupler?
IIRC it should be a 2" coupler, I dont think it would work all that great by just tightening it down really tight if you have a 2.5" coupler, which is what I am guess you have. You would probably see some boost leaks. You could always give it a try however.

Unfortunately my camera died yesterday just before I was going to take the pics for you. I can tell you though that you will need a 2" 90* coupler to make everything work.

i dont mean to jack this thread, but i am also looking at purchasing an ssautochrome fmic for the 295 group buy price and had 2 questions:
1) I know it is not a direct bolt on, i am running a small 16g turbo, which comes with a j pipe. What modifications or extra piping will i need to make the kit i get from ssautochrome fmic fit to this turbo set up?
2) i have a 1g bov and asked ssautochrome if their 2g set up is flanged for a 1g bov and they said no but the pictures strongly resemble the 1g bov and i am wondering if the person who emailed me simply just didnt know what they were talking about. thanks for the help

1) The only modifications you will have to make are to trim the front bumper, cut thru the radiator support, possibly buy an extra coupler or 2. Other then that it includes everything you need to get it installed. Depending on how your J-Pipe is set up you may need to modify their LICP, or buy a 90* coupler to make it work. Kinda depends on your personal preferences as well. From what I have seen, both ways can work.

2) Yes the 2G SSAutochrome FMIC kit is flanged for a 1G BOV.
