Agreed, if your goals are 11secs or even 12s I suggest to get ACT2600. 2100 will not hold specially if you start using slicks and doing burn outs.

Good call on the clutch. When I was trying to get a fast time in my FWD Laser my ACT 2100 started slipping as I got into the low 13's, and I had a Quaife with drag radials. Then I got an ACT2600 and got into the 12's.

What I'm about to order:
Tokico FWD Adjustable Shocks & Springs--ACT 2100 Clutch kit--Quaife FWD Limited Slip Differential--Custom 12x2 DSM Cooling Fan (2)--Slicks

, story of my damn life. It looks like your project is really starting to take off now. Definitely let us know how that 57 trim is. That's the turbo I'm looking at right now. I'll make sure I'll have this one ported, unlike my 50 trim.

Mark90gst said:i also have a fwd tsi with a 57 trim, well it is off now, the 57trim is a good turbo, you can make 350whp no problem, full boost around 4k @ 20psi.
GSntncT said:I'm interested to know, why is the 57 trim off now? I don't see too many people that run the 57 here, more often than not, it's the 50 (or some close variation)that I have now. Maybe I should just keep my 50, and just send it in to have ported......
I'm gonna run the internal and see what kind of issues i run into b4 i spend the money on external, eventually i'll get it... im leaving for iraq in july so maybe when i get back i'll drop in everything i need to get 11s...phizzle99gst you should go extranel wastegate
Looks like your setup is coming together good. I always seem to hit snags when installing something. You'll have to keep us up to date until you go to the track.

-I've hit snags too, nothin too serious yet, but thats whats nice about a 99 thats never seen salt
blcknspo0ln said:Why not just remove your cruise control? Either way, your setup is looking amazingDefinitely fill us in with your experiences with the 57 trim, I'd be very curious to know how yours will turn out with a standard to4e cover.
I ran into a bit of a problem, when i started up the car coolant started leaking out of the main pipe behind the turbo, however the hole was on the back side of the pipe. its not real big of a hole... I was wondering if there was a way to plug that hole, or do i have to take it off to weld it, if so how do i get it off.. I looked for a thread to do that but couldnt find it, im getting desparate here
well if anyone can fill me in on some helpful info please do, thanks...

here is a diagram. hope this helps. What you want to do is splice in with a T into the BOV source from the intake manifold and run that to the MBC then connect the MBC to your waste gate actuator. the source goes into the bottom of the controller pointing towards the knob (so it pushes the spring up).
have a good one!!!
