I figured I would show you guys my new turbo to see what you think. I bought it used with 3,000 miles, its a GT 35R ball bearing turbo. This is one of the biggest turbos I've owned so far:D. It is gonna be going in my 95 Eclipse GSX. As far as the motor goes, its basically stock. The only mods were using a 1998 7bolt bottom end, EVO pistons and rods, OEM composite headgasket, new bearings and eliminated the balance shafts.

Everything looks great- keep an eye on the manifold, especially where the v-band flange for the wastegate was welded on. These manifolds tend to crack at or near the collector flange.

You'll probably see full boost around 4500 which isn't too bad. Depending on your tuning method you can bump the rev limiter up a little to take advantage of the airflow the 35R will give you....don't be afraid of the Evo rods breaking. ;)

If you look into the comp housing inlet, you can see that the shroud is sticking far past the compressor wheel. This kind of reminds me of when the FP comp housings had their shrouds pop forward.

jusmx141 thanks for helping me out with the feedline info, and as far as tuning goes im lost there since i have never messed with it. Im always hearing good stuff about AEM EMS but i just dont like the price, I was also looking at DSMlink V3. Im still undecided on what to get for tuning. what do you suggest?

I'm not 100% sure, but that DNP looks nothing like my DNP manifold... Where's the DNP tag? The reason I say it doesn't look like a real DNP is because they use some pretty nice sized primary's, and those look small.

It had the DNP tag but the weld broke off. thats how I got it, you can kinda see where the weld broke off

I'm a fan of ECMLink. What you get for the price cannot be matched by any other tuning method, including the web support forums. They're constantly working to make it better.

Ill have to check out the ECMlink forums and learn more about it. Dont be surprised if im PM'ing you about tuning or where to go to go get my car tuned later on down the RoadROFL

ECMlink should definitely be considered since you have a '95, hopefully with an EPROM ECU. And being able to post up or e-mail logs to people and get help is awesome. I've both helped people and sent logs for help, which you definitely couldn't do with AEM.

Plus, you can always start out with the Lite version if you're not sure you need the full, which would for sure be cheaper than an AEM EMS.

Yes sir I do have the EPROM ECU, I was curious one day and took it apart to see if it was. So I got lucky on with ECU. Hopefully Santa brings me ECMlink for christmasLOL

Looks good, minus the downpipe. Looks like it's a very sharp turn and that it was just poorly mig-welded on there. Like there was a gap, so they used the weld to fill in the space.

Now it looks more like this.

I agree. The whole setup looks really good, but that downpipe could use some work in the future.

Otherwise I'm a tad bit jealous! :D Very nice setup.

I used to have ecmlink v3, I sold it and got aem ems., its alot harder that ecmlink...sooooo I sold it and went back to ecmlink.. Im sure that aem on the hands of a good tuner is better than ecmlink. But ecmlink fits 99% of the ppl here, and for the price it can't be beat imo
