Hi and first of all im kind of new to this i have learned so much from this site but now i need help i realised im going the wong way with my dsm:notgood: now need help building a fast dsm i have all the mods to my car in my pro pls help were to go next and what to do i will apresiate the feed back thx..:thumb:
 
I always say start first with maintenance. I would also look into selling those 20" wheels off and buying something smaller and much less lighter.
 
You really havent gone the wrong path, you havent really even started yet. BUT i would just Fuel upgrades next, then exhaust, then turbo, then TUNE it.
 
i do want to trade the rims for some thing else maybe some nice 18 chrome lip black face i have an exhaust sistem i have an apexi ws2 and a high flow cat. i want to get dsm lick and i did maintenanse curently have cop with ngk plugs. the doors i have them al custom made for all cars i have a small shop that i opened like 8 mos ago. thx for the kwick replys...
 
Write something we can all read. Grammar and punctuation are fun. Its like tuning for words!

Find a 6 bolt, build it, swap it in. After that, the hard part is over.
 
Sell the 20 inch wheels, and find a set of lightweight 17s.
Unless you really want/need that high flow cat, get rid of it and get a downpipe.
Get some type of datalogging software, you mentioned Dsmlink, or a cheap alternative is just to get a palm pilot with some sort of software like Palmnstein.
Perform a Boost Leak Test to go along with all of your maintenance that you may not have done (change fluids, hoses, belts, timing belt kit...)
Purchase a boost gauge.
Purchase a Manual Boost Controller, and IF and only IF, your car is up to par with all maintenance, and no problems, turn your boost up, and watch your datalogger to monitor what level is safe for your car (15 p.s.i. is a common setting on the boards for a T-25)
Purchase an aftermarket BOV, the 1st gen BOV is a great one for price, and function
Upgrade to hard piping, or at least get a different UICP instead of the stock plastic one that pancakes.
Rewire the stock fuel pump, or upgrade.
.....And if this isn't enough power for the time being, start looking at upgrading your turbo.

Well its pretty simple to follow the "upgrade paths". Do some research as well to learn what you are actually doing when you are changing these parts and why your power is increasing. Dont get greedy with boost without the proper mods as well. After that begin to get some knowledge in tuning and take it to the next level.

You sure about that? What is your air to fuel ratio like right now? After a little while of running it without the recirc, the ECU compensates and lets it idle correctly but you run pig rich on shifts, get horrible gas mileage, and driveability is severely reduced. Set your cruise and try to go uphill with the cruise on. I guarantee the car will hate it.
 
Venting=bad. No matter how you slice it. Recirc the thing and be done. If you absolutely want to vent, get a MAFT or go speed density.

The car may seem to run pretty well vented, but like stated, it will run pig rich between shifts and overall driveability will suffer. :talon:

I've had it tested and it does not run rich and my gas milage has not changed at all. It still get 29-23 for gas. I've had it like that for just over a year and it takes hills perfectly fine.

Either do it right (MAF translator) or don't do it at all. YOUR CAR WILL..I REPEAT WILL RUN WORSE WHEN YOU VENT YOUR BOV. No need to post anything else about it, because anything else you say will sound just as stupid as the comment above.

And by the way this is known as hi-jacking a thread, so drop the pointless question/argument of venting your BOV.

Why does everyone have to argue this point. The car was not designed to vent the BOV to the atmosphere. Unless you get something to compensate for the vented air (MAFT or tuning software with speed density support) the ECU is going to start doing funky stuff. :beatentodeath:

If I never had to see another thread about venting a BOV, I'd be ecstatic. :talon:

It is preferable for a mass air system to run recirculated. Big turbos with big boost sound cool and turn heads. If a semi hit a jake break next to you, youd look to to see wtf that noise was, which is why people look when a bov goes off
Mitusbishi does this stuff for a reason. Could you imagine how many more dsms they would have sold if it was uncirculated with that "Cool" sound.
 
I never got off topic. You guys all went off on what I said. And that on that link he put out that alot of people run it vented and it works fine. Case closed. He can do what he wants to his car. I just said what I did to mine and how its working so lets drop it.
 
I would say you need to do some research before you go and ask everyone else what to do and it would be wise to not run you bov vented to the atmosphere unless you have a maf-t or other tool to monitor in speed density.
 
I would say this thread has been answered. The OP needs to do some reading of ugrade paths as well as dsms in general to familiarize himself and make wise choices when modding
