The car is no longer leaking oil! YEAH!!!
But now I think its leaking tranny fluid :notgood:, it has been since I got it back from jnztuning. Im hoping its just an axle seal or something dumb. Its only like a drop or two everytime I park the car, no biggie. Ill find the culprit eventually, im so sick of leaks I just dont feel like dealing with it at the moment. I didnt bother calling jnz to let them know, not that they do bad work, its just everytime I get my car back from them there is a new leak. I know for sure this leak wasnt there before I gave the car to them, thats why Im hoping its an axle seal.

Anyway...
I just broke the 1000 mile mark on my motor, its running strong. I did a couple 5 and 10psi pulls, no WOT pulls yet.
Im finally getting my fuel trims calibrated, I just need to do a boost leak check and then start WOT tuning.
Ill keep you guys posted! :thumb:

1500 miles on the motor now, still running strong.
I have a boost leak somewhere, I finally got the car to do 10lb pulls without knocking by retarding the timing a couple degrees. Anything over 10 and the car stitters real bad with no knock present, my guess is boost leak. Im learning slowly how to play with dsmlink.

Anyway, I got around to washing her for the first time in years. Heres a few pics.

Thanks for the compliments guys, yeah I read that whole thing many times. My problem is the GM MAS. I even posted logs and Dave Mertz was confused as to why I couldnt get my fuel trims in line.
Im ordering a new intake and going back to the stock 2g mas, we'll see how things go from there.

I cant remember?
You had the same problem Im having?

Couldn't tune the bi*** right with the maft, so i went back to the 2g mas. I did post in here about it, i always mention that when i talk about link because most pple are quick to want to run the gm maf.

Hows the car doing?

ps i dont check the forums often anymore, replying almost a month later LOL.

It's not really leaving the ranks as i still have my dsm, it's just after 4 years, there' s not much to read on these forums that i haven't read over and over. LOL

olmytsi, thats funny you say that because I feel the same way, its like reading the same stuff over and over. I barely come on any dsm forums anymore, only when I need info or Im bored.

As for my car, its running great. It has 2100 miles on the motor now, ive boosted 25psi at 60% throttle several times now on a horrible tune. I have no idea how to tune

For having the timing retarded like crazy, having no control over my boost whatsoever (creeping like crazy), and never going over 60% throttle the car is still running fairly strong. I was side by side with a late 90's M3 till about 130 then he slowly pulled away. The car def. has WAY more potential than that. I also pulled a couple lengths on a stock evo 8 my buddy just bought.

I was having problems with my intake coming off my turbo, I fixed that by buying a new silicone coupler. The one dejon provides is simply not good enough IMO. I also keep having problems with the coupler on my lower intercooler pipe coming loose or completely off, another faulty dejon design IMO.

Besides that, I have my 255 installed now and the pump rewired so I have enough fuel. Man that whining can get annoying with no stereo.

I threw the stock wheels back on just for the hell of it to smoke the tires off. Im not gonna lie smoldering the tires all through 1st and 2nd is kinda fun, im traction retarded. Sucks racing from a dead stop though, its pointless!

So anyway, my car is being tuned this upcoming monday by Frank at PSI motorsports, im sick of not being able to go WOT and I just dont have the time to learn how to tune and actually tune it. So I will def. get a video and have some numbers to back up my project. I will keep you guys posted :thumb:

Wish me luck!!! :rocks:

Are you using T bolts on your IC pipes or the typical worm gear clamps? T-bolts should solve your issue with couplers coming loos/off (unless you have some other strange issue with your pipes).

I'm really not liking my Walbro 255HP, it seems to have gotten louder over the years in general & sometimes it gets rediciously loud for some reason. There's times where you hear it even with the stereo at a descent level OMG I think a Supra Denso pump will be in my future at some point.

Have you tried posting any logs on the DSMLink forums? It really is pretty straight forward to use with very minimal experience & the support on the forums are great :thumb:

car looks awesome! have you spoken with anybody at PSI motorsports about tuning. i was up there once with a buddy of mine for his car :tease: (SVT focus) and it took ALL day and nothing got done. i was just not impressed at all to be honest.

Yeah I bought Tbolt clamps to hold it on but it still came loose, im gonna try tightening the hell out of the tbolt clamp this time.

The 255 is def loud and annoying.

I did start to post logs on the forums but I just dont have the time to do it anymore. Between working a full time job, juggling girls, hanging with my boys, and driving my car. I just dont have the time right now to learn. Over the winter Im gonna try and learn.

Thanks for the advice though

Yeah I spoke to Frank personally the other day when I made the appointment. Well hopefully I dont have the same experience with them as your friend did. I have heard nothing but good things about Frank and his place.

Good to hear your shit is running good.

I just gathered all the parts and dropped them off at the machine shop. Getting a fresh bottom end built (all stock/new including stock 1g headbolts) and doing 1 mm oversized valves and some cleanage of the ports on my head. Going to be running stock cams, stock intake manifold, 2g mani and o2 and probably a 14b at first when it's done (shooting for july).

When i get some more $ in the fall, i'm probably going with hks 264s and a td06 20g. I want to try a quick spooling/mid range friendly setup since i sold the 50 trim/hks272s.

My current engine has low compression (in the 110-120 range across).

Well I took my car to get it tuned today but Frank couldnt tune it. Apparently my wastegate isnt opening all the way which is making my car creep to 23-25psi, he doesnt want to tune it until it holds 20psi solid.

So what options do I have here?
1-go external, dont want to on a 16g though
2-buy a adjustable wastegate to get the wastegate all the way open (too expensive)
3-modify the 16g's wastegate arm and make it adjustable (most likely what im doing)

What other choices do I have?

I looked into aftermarket wastegates but they are like $150 dollars, thats ridiculous. Anyone know where I can get a cheaper one? Or have a write up on how to make mine adjustable?

BTW, the most the car made was 291whp on a crappy tune.

why is it you dont want to go external? you could port everything which might help out with the creep...

I ported the hell out of everything already. The turbine housing was ported by SBR and then I ported it even more on on the wastegate side and on the turbine side. I also ported the whole wastegate area and took out the wall that blocks flow through the wastegate area.

I dont want to go external because I dont feel like spending the money. Thats the only reason, just dont have the money at the moment. Im gonna try to make the stock wastegate arm adjustable and if that doesnt work then im gonna go external.
