started my 6 bolt build

alright so heres the story i bought my car in december for 350 bucks had to drive alittle to get it but got its a 90 gst!!!! i know i wish gsx but its not when i got it the car had a bad turbo and bent valves then to find out that ill i really had was a core for an engine which brings me today finally!!! so today i started to finish my build which im on 3 months of reading your bad and good experiences which really helped and thanks by the way!!! i went with 1g big rods 8.6.1 arias pistons .020 over, bc valve spring kit, stainless valves, and balance shaft removed ... and the newest addition is my 16g! so here is where i got today!!!

well just an update got the engine all done today mounted the clutch and flywheel and put the trans on! stuffed the engine but no pics tonight maybe tomorrow hope to hear it run tomorrow~

well got it all done had some troubles and after a day of a trouble shooting i found that my ecu is bad so i traded it out for one that my buddy has in his 1st gen!!! got it running but had a oil leak on the head so didnt break it in but it runs and runs alright at that!!! heres what it looks like@

well after a couple of days of tinkering i fixed my oil leaks and coolant leaks!!! took it for a drive after breaking it in and wow i got serious traction problems and thats only on ten pounds of boost!!! and im still running all stock fuel stuff and havent put my cams in yet!!! so i dont know what to do now anybody with fwd suggestions ??? but it runs really good got like 20 miles on it now so need suspension suggestions !~

stickier tires, but i guess that's a given. Front wheel has been anoying to me unless rolling on from highway speeds...sleeper.

well just an update got my fmic kit put in today it was a pain!! went with the punishment fmic kit and wow it was a interesting install but its done and boy am i excited to use it and maybe finally turn up the boost! i now have 250 miles on my engine and runs perfect! still only boosting 10 pounds! but its time to turn it up!

no i have to build a bracket for it thats just to hold it up so i could mount it im not done yet just the piping is on! there is also two brackets on the bottom of the intercooler! so its not held by zip ties sorry to disapoint you!

yeah thats exactly it to im trying im waiting for my intake manifold!!! which is getting made right now so in due time also waiting on the sell of my quad so i can get my injectors, link, ext. so hopefully in the next month it will look good again!

Looks really good, well done on the install. Are you planning on upgrading the intake? 2g mas or gm maf setup in the future? Is that a ported 2g manifold and o2 housing btw?

funny when i first started doin stuff to my car it broke down somewhere and when we tried to get it on the tow truck somewhere it ripped off my front end including the bracket to my fmic. so yea i zip tied that sucker . till i could get it fixed. works great as a temp solution.

well have another update!! haha so today im driving my car and this little hatch pulls up next to me well we go or i go and he stays cause hes spinning haha and i here a boom and im like s**t! haha there goes my new 16g i lost all the teeth on the intake side haha pics to follow this week! well so now im going to order my new turbo hopefully monday dont know what to get yet but im lookin as for the intake i have a really good friend of mine building me a custom manifold so that will get done hopefully in the next two weeks! i was going to order all my fuel stuff and the link but thats out now that i need a turbo and some other stuff! the intake and such i think im going with a second gen mas! thats what im here and just recirculate everything its easier so im not sure yet! and as for the zip ties that everyones talking about theres two mounts on the bottom of that but there really thin and started to bend so until i can get some steel ones that will hold it the ties are just fine!

heres another update! also blew up my 16g now ordered a pte 57 trim turbo and prosport guages so will have more pics this week for you!

alright so i have this buddy who is a amazing fabricator so i asked him to build me a intake manifold and he said "ok" but im going to use the stock flange for the head and i said ok so heres what he did for me it came out amazing and cheap for me!!! tell me what you think just got it today mind you this is all custom done!
