I just bought this aluminum intake on ebay and put it on my car today. It seems as though my car runs sluggish with it. I checked all the fitttings and everything seems to be tight. My autometer boost guage is maxing at 15 just as before but it seems slower and my blow-off valve is muck quieter with this intake. Is this normal is ther something that I could be missing. My bov is a turbo xs type h and I made no adjustments to it after putting the intake on. The intake is made of all aluminum and is listed as a 144 intake on Ebay. Any help would be appreciated because at this point I'm thinking about going back stock. :talon:

maybe its just a mind trick and you feel like its sluggish.. If everything is boosting the same and the car is still running fine, then I cant see why it would cause a problem.

Well I was coming home from work today and decided to really get into the boost and when I shifted my car died. I popped the hood only to find that my bov was sitting on top of my manifold. OOPS! I guess that wasn't so tight. After adjusting that it sounds much better. Go figure. :talon:

Why did you sell it? Just curious bec/ I have one kinda like that and mine works fine. My bov isn't very loud anymore either, but I'm making my car a sleeper so I don't want it very loud. Just curious to why you sold it.

Sold it because the quality was non existant, just plain old cheap. I tried to put is on but it was such a PITA that i said screw it, and sold it. It was also quite heavy. :thumbdown

I paid $60 for it, for around $10-$20 more you can pick up nice used injen.....

Steel will resonate the spool and BOV sound quite a bit compared to an aluminum pipe, just FYI. I made my own 3" aluminum intake very similar to that design, and its pretty damn loud. If it is actually made out of steel, thats the reason its just as quiet (if not quieter) that your stock intake.
