MBC & Boost Gauge

on my mbc i stripped the hex nut on the inside of it to adjust the boost, i was making sure it was all the way down to run stock boost and did it too hard and now the thing is stipped. how do i get it out? im gueeing replacing it will be a trip to any hardware store. now my boost gauge reads around 10-11psi, but i MADE sure the mbc was set at the lowest thats why i stripped the nut inside of it. but why is it reading 10-11psi? i only have a k&n air intake filter and an intake pipe. someone help me out. thanks.

its because you are getting more air flow and more volume.

A boost controller cannot lower boost any lower than the wastegate is set up for. At some point, the pressure from the exhaust is going to overpower the wastegate and blow open the flapper regardless.

ya i just did some asking around and found out that the stock boost is around 10psi. so what about the nut inside the mbc? how can i take it out if the top is stripped? (not the threads) thanks

The stock wastegate is set to 10PSi. If the nut to take the BX apart is stripped, depending on what style you have you might not be able to disassemble the BC.

i have the turbo xs mbc the standard one. i was thinking of putting a little jb weld on the tip of the hex wrench and then putting it in the nut and letting it dry and then taking it out slowly. think it will work?

That might work, but you'll have to be careful not to get any on the sides of the walls so that the allen wrench sticks to the inside of the boost controller too. That might be your best shot, though.
