may have just cut out fuel pump rewire

So i was cleaning up my engine bay and noticed a little black thing coming off the battery to a little black block sitting next to it. a wire was coming out of it going to nothing (just zip tied across the fender) and the other end going into the firewall.
i thought since the one end was nothing that maybe the previous owner had a stereo amp or something. so i cut it all out. Then i later noticed that the stuff i cut looks exactly like what is used in the the fuel pump rewire thread. So i was all worried, but i just drove the car and it pulls hard and drives great. should i be worried? will fuel pump still work ok? im assuming its fine after i drove it like 5 miles and all was good.

If you cut it out your car wouldn't run.

hmm thats weird. it looks exactly like what was used for the rewire install. i dont know what else it could have been for.

it could have been the fuel pump test wire
it wont hurt nothing not having it in your car
