Ok I rewired my fuel pump and was just wondering if it was suppose to raise my fuel pressure? I know it makes it flow more but I figured since it did that it would raise my fuel pressure and I would have to lower it. I have the import evolution afpr kit also installed. and also it got even louder than before, I thought I read some where that it was suppose to quite it down some.

thanks

why dont you just check to see if it raised pressure on your AFPR kit? It might raise it a few psi, even the stock regulator could handle it tho. (unless you have a larger pump installed, like a 255)

well thats what i mean i checked it after rewiring thinking i would have to readjust it but it was the same. I was just thinking maybe I did it wrong or something.

ok thanks I just thought since it raised the volts and made it work to its full potential it would of raised it.

yeah, must be nice not to have the whineboro change pitch whenever you turn on your blinkers.....LOL
wheeee-whoooo-wheeee-whoooo-wheeee-whoooo

i never really noticed that but now it does seem to whine louder cause i think i forgot about it. or maybe now since i am listening i am hearing it again.

i have a rewired 190 and to my knowledge rewiring a fuel pump only gives it a constant 12v to it. I've never heard of it raising FP

Agreed. Re-wiring a fuel pump will remedy the issue of the dinky-factory wiring which cannot supply consistent voltage to the fuel pump. Having a fuel pump re-wired will ensure you are getting the most accurate/efficient use of your fuel pump, not increasing fuel pressure, that's what the regulators are for.

do any of you guys know why i dont hear my pump. i have a 255 and i have never really heard it whine. i had a buddy of mine put it in for me. also i think it is for a awd and mine is a fwd, would that matter also. i havent had a chance to do the rewire yet could that be why i dont hear it.

cookmaster30 - you may want to check and make sure your buddy doesn't have a shinny new 255 in his DSM OMG
