i have one more question i installed a aeromotive fuel pressure regulator when i first installe it i checked it and it was set to 38psi i thought that was ok well my i checked my car this afternoon and it was at 25ish im wondering if i was boosting 10-15psi ### of my creep the few spikes and what not i had if it would have done any damage to my motor or not i put it back up to 38 and it runs smoother

Did you remember to set your fuel pressure with the vacuum line disconnected?

i want more power and i am ordering bigger turbo and all the fuel stuff i need but i want to know what a safe boost range is for my stock motor in my 92 laser

Increase boost until the engine blows up.... Then back it off a bit.

:)

Detonation will kill your motor quicker than anything. Invest in a logger, or something to monitor knock with. A WBo2 would also be beneficial, to make sure the AFR stays where you want it.

my '92 talon has 125k miles on it, stock 7-bolt! I rev it to 8k rpm at 22psi with a 50 trim on pump gas :)... Depending on what turbo you go with and what your goals are for power will ultimately help make your decision. If you want over 300whp you would probably want to go with 550cc/660cc injectors + maf-t/safc2 and a 16G turbo at 18psi or so. You will need a larger fuel pump, it would be nice to have a larger exhaust and a front mount intercooler. There are "upgrade stages" that you can follow on this forum to better assist.

I would not boost more than 15 or 16 psi you will hit fuel cut at 17 psi. This would also depend on current fuel system mods. You will be safe around 15psi though. Hope that helps.

Many members will tell you not to turn up the boost without a datalogger. I agree with that statement, because you could save yourself a lot of stress in the log run. Even though 15-16 is usually what is said, it could be different for any car for a number of reasons. There are many threads in the FAQ section about this. I'm sure you can find them for some more information.

Also don't forget you will need a windband and something to control the fuel with before you start turning up the boost too much. I have the PLX R-300 which is a windband and datalogger which I am using with an AFC Neo. I have not had any problems with that setup and it's very easy to use.:thumb: :dsm:

You car normally comes stock with 2 narrowbands. 1 pre-cat the other post-cat. They measure the oxygen level in your exhaust. It can tell your ECU to adjust the A/F mixture based on its reading.

Narrowbands measure from 0-1v
Widebands measure 0-5v (maybe 0-4v can't remember)

Basically the wideband lets you get a better view of your A/F mixture and helps A LOT for tuning you car.

Also, many people will tell you not to turn the boost up on the stock turbo because it is so small it can't handle it and becomes inefficient and blows hot air. I think the t25 starts blowing hot air around 14-15 if I remember right.

Ok this is one geared more twards the more experienced guys.

I am buying a Turbo XS High Performance Boost Controller over the weekend but I am not quite sure at what boost level I can safely set it. My car is pritty heavily modded but here is a list of the mods i DO have that may affect it.

Stage-1 Stroker kit (46g4 crank, aftermarket rods & pistons) .20 overbore
Evo 3 Big 16G Turbocharger
550cc fuel injectors and a Walbro 255 fuel pump
Boost Gauge
I also have an aftermarket clutch and flywheel.

I was origionally planing on doubling my current boost setting (12psi) but I wanted to ask here before I screw something up.

By the way this is a 7 bolt 46g3 motor from a 97 eclipse GS-T spyder

You will need some type of tuning device and a logger before you can turn up the boost. I would leave it at 12psi until you have those two items.
