but like i said it has td054 on the compressor housing can you not tell by this number??

Like mentioned above the td05h can be several different turbos, its most likely a 14b or some variation of 16g. There should be some more #s on the housing like 49178-XXXXX if you can find those #s and post them someone should be able to tell you what turbo it is, but its is definitely not a T-25 if it says td05h on it. You probably should not be running 22 psi or anything over stock until you know what kind of turbo you have and what other mods were done. You cant cant just say how many psi can this turbo hold and just turn up the boost to that psi, A datalogger and tuning will determine how much boost you can safely run, not what kind of turbo you have.
 
I believe that is a 14b turbo. If you guys look at your 14b's they have 49178-01010 on them. But, I see that those numbers were stamped over some other 00's. You said you had the motor changed. Does it happen to have a red valve cover or say mitsubishi on it?
 
so what are like the specs on this turbo?? does it add anymore horses?? or any pluses to this turbo thanks for th help to


There should be 5 digits in the last part of the # 49178-XXXXX, but if it starts 49178-010XX its probably a 14b that is better than the stock T-25 on a 2g but its the stock turbo for a 1g. The 14b can make more HP than T-25 but without propr tuning & supporting mods you may run into problems with boostcreep & fuel cut
 
you shouldn't get boost creep or fuel cut unless over 16psi. The only way you should run into boost creep is if you have a larger downpipe. When I had my full 3" turbo back exhaust on my 14b, I ran 16psi without either problems. But, an upgraded fuel pump is a good idea if you plan on upping the boost on this turbo.

If your still on the stock i/c i would stick with 14psi max. I ran my small 16g at 16psi on stock i/c injectors and fpr with a rewired walbro 255 on 94 octane and if i remember correctly my idc's were in the low to mid 90% range which is a too high for comfort imo. But every car is different and unless you are able to datalog your not going to know how close you are to running out of fuel or knocking.
 
small 16gs are a decent turbo. They spool alittle faster that the other 16gs but, don't have as much power potential. I would say 320hp if properly tuned?
 
He said his is a 49174-05200.

So which one is it dsmeclipse16psi?

49174 would be like a td08 so I was assuming it was a typo & he meant 49178-05200 which would be more likely. Not bad you went form thinking you had a T-25 and ended up with a 16G ROFL
