Ok guys here's the problem I'm having.I bought a 99 RS as a project car soon to be a daily. It was hit before I bought it, just bent the fender and the door up. I've replaced the fender and now I have a new set of doors.

Here is where the problem starts, my original doors are all manual everything. The doors I bought are power everything off of a GST. I got the power door to bolt up and everything however the harness connector from my 99 RS is different than the harness on the GST door.

Obviously when I went to plug it in at the door jam it wouldn't fit because they are two different connectors. Is it possible that the plug for the new power door is there just tapped under the dash? The short more of a square connection is my original manual door connector, the longer more rectangular connection is from the all power GST door.

Help please!!!! I've searched the forums for threads like these and the ones I see they either never finish it or it evolves a whole rewire.
Is there a harness you can buy maybe? Any help would be great!

Most likely the connector isn't there. However, you'd eed to look to be absolutely sure. If you do want to have the power features work, your best bet would be to swap the harnesses with a GS model that has power. I only say the GS and not GST or GSX is because of the engine differences. Although interior wiring may be similar between them, the ETACS ecu may not be the same. The ETACS is the black box fuse block that sits to the left of your feet and holds the interior fuse box as well. The ETACS has all the wiring for the oem security system and keyless entry components. So to avoid a headache, I think a GS wire harness would be best.

Wiring shouldn't be super difficult to figure out a pin out on.. If you can figure out a pin out you just need to bring power to the drivers door, then figure out if those connectors are for power doors, if so tap into the passenger one to power passenger door, if not run wire from drivers door under dash to passenger door.

You could effectively cut off those connectors and wire them into where it needs to be. If you don't feel like you would want to tackle it you could talk to a shop or someone that is rather familiar with electrical wiring.. Maybe talk to an audio install shop, they install power locks and it's not too different.

Ok so just to be clear your saying get a power gs door harness right? Will the connector be the same as my original one that's in my car currently?

Yea I'm definitely sure that's not something I can tackle.

The connector should be the same, but without as many wires since your original harness woild have manual locks. I think the easier route would be to swap the interior harnesses, yes. But, make sure the gst door harness you have will match a GS interior harness before spending the time removing it. Don't want to waste time removing a harness you end up not needing.

You definitely right about that.So I went about about a hour and a half away this morning to pick up a gsx spoiler and some side skirts from a guy.great guy.he has 13 sitting in his yard all of them different builds & some parts cars.anyway I was looking at the side skirts and ended up explaining to him my problem with the doors.soon as I showed him the pictures he laughs and says check this out.he opened the door to his convertible gst and showed me the difference in the harness.the doors I bought were off a convertible gst.thats why the harness looks different.so he ended up selling me a set of power everything harnesses that had the same plug as my factory one.so I just swapped the harnesses in the doors.I'm currently installing them now.thank you to all of you guys that had input I really appreciate it.
