420A Power door lock broken

My drivers side power door lock doesn't work, only the passenger side does but the button on the drivers side still works and will lock and unlock the passenger side. Anyone know what the problem is?

I also found a new key fob at a dealer but can't figure out how to program it. It says stick a paperclip in 1 and 4 on the obd port then hit the hazard button 6 times but nothing happens.

To clarify: You cannot lock/unlock the driver's door electrically, that is with the switch on the door. Is that right? But everything else works?

Does the key fob you bought have the same FCC ID # as specified in your owner's manual? Unless those numbers match the fob does not speak the right 'language' for the car.

Usually it's either the key cylinder wire plastic cap bad or came off, or the locking rod from the door handle going to the mechanism bent/cracked, or the opening rod going from the door handle to the mechanism bent/cracked.
