Yeah tell me about it. Its a lot a little bit too often with these cars...
It should be all worth it after I get my 11's time slip =) haha

Ok so I finaly got around to snaping some picks of the exhaust installed. Plus, I got a short video.

<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/TTlB5jUmZgg&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/TTlB5jUmZgg&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

As you can see by the quality, the pictures were taken with a digital camera and the video by a cellphone but the sound's pretty decent.

I'm not sure I like how low it sits from the bumper, or the angle it cuts to the left, but it might just be the angle of the camera. We'll see how it fits on mine this spring when I finally get around to putting it on. Looks good otherwise, and sounds awesome.:thumb:

Honestly, I was a little disappointed at how low it hangs too, but the sound more than makes up for it. Plus, the pictures were taken kinda uphill on my driveway. I don't think this video does the sound any justis though. It sounds so much better in person. :thumb: I might see about getting it moved up a little bit sometime down the road. I'll just have to see how it does in the snow.

Wow that puppy sticks out.

Yeah, I know the service manager at the dealership where I had the timing belt done and he went ahead and hung it for me. The head mechanic said the hangers on the exhaust were off compaired to the stock hanger location so he had to mod some things. I'm not sure if he got it right or not. I'd love to see some pics of other DSM's with this exhaust to compair it to.

It looked like the plugs and wires were all original, or at least fairly old, so yesterday I installed new Bosch Platnum Plus plugs and Bosch performance wires. I was also at the 3000 mile mark from when the dealership changed the oil when I bought it so I went ahead and changed that too. I decided since I'll probably only put about 5000 miles a year on the car I could afford to run the good stuff. I bought Royal Purple performance oil and a better filter. I'm pretty pleased with how smooth it idles now!

NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!

Platinum Plugs are VERY bad fore turbo applications. VERY BAD! Go to your local auto store and ask for NGK BPR6ES plugs gapped to 0.28" Until you replace them stay off boost.

Yeah, bpr6es, bpr7es, bpr8es, br8es, whatever your heat range is. Don't run any of those gimmick spark plugs. Oh yeah, spark plugs don't come pre-gapped, so just get a gap tool.

Wow, aparently I should slap the shit out of the fine folks at autozone then. They were the ones who suggested these plugs. Well, I guess it's what there computer sugested for my car. Guess I'm going back to the zone tomorrow to buy new plugs. (On a side note, I read thru that thread and I still don't see a reason why the platnum plugs are bad.)

And you listened to them? Those guys only know how to look up part numbers and try to sell the most expensive part.

That's not always true. A lot of places just don't know what's best for our cars. When I went to buy plugs for the first time, they sold me cheaper ones, but they were a bit different from the BRP's. I then asked specifically for the BPR6ES plugs and they could get them, but didn't know they were associated with DSM's. When going to buy something at the local auto store, always know exactly what you want and ask for it. This way there's no mistake as to what you get.

So today I went to autozone and asked for the plugs. The guy looked in the computer and said "those plugs look like they're platinum too." I told him he was wrong and I said, I think I'll go somewhere else. I drove across the street to Advance Auto and they knew exactly what I needed. I'm done with Autozone. I'm just waiting for my engine to cool so I can change them out!

Ok, NGK plugs installed at .028" and all is right with the world. I went ahead and regapped the Platinums to .060" (per the Bosch website) and I'm gonna throw them in my brothers Sunfire GT.
