I'm trying to wire my fuel pressure gauge to the ECU to log pressure (inconsistencies in AFRs after finalizing tune).
This is the older gauge and the documentation doesn't have much information, just this image with the wires: (https://www.aemelectronics.com/site...s/30-4401_Digital_Oil_Fuel_Pressure_Gauge.pdf)

Now I already have black/red wired for power obviously, the gauge works fine. I was going to use the MDP connection as mine is not in use.
Do I connect the white wire to the MDP pin in ECU? As per http://www.ecmtuning.com/wiki/externalsensorinput, it is Pin 73.
Do I even use the blue wire? It seems that rs232 is for serial connections and I don't think it would be needed in this case.
Do I not worry about a 5v power/ground in this case and just connect the white wire for signal output?
the wires are currently in the car so I can connect them straight to the ECU connectors pin 73 Or (as I don't enjoy working in the ECU area) I could follow the gauge wires to the sensor itself and wire it to the MDP connector, I assume In that case it would still just be the White (0-5v output) wire to the Signal wire on the MDP sensor.

Thanks!

You are correct that the white signal wire would be placed on the mdp ecu pin. You change the assignment in dsmlink and then you will need to edit the linear values where 0-5 volts will be the min and max the pressure sensor can read. I don’t see it listed on the so you may need to contact aem if you do not already know the max psi it reads. You will need it so it’s calibrated correctly in link.

Yep I'll be wiring it soon, I'll call them tomorrow to confirm it. It's probably the same as the generic ones / x series. Thanks

Sometimes the max pressure is printed on the side of the sensor, just FYI.
