K-24 swap

Look at a Civic/TSX/Accord engine bay and you'll notice that the engine is on the opposite side of the engine bay compared to the DSM. Even if there was an adapter, the engine would be backwards (or you would have 5 reverse gears). An Evo 4-9 transmission at least faces the correct direction, but I doubt there will ever be an adapter for them to the K20/K24 engine. I'm struggling to figure out why you'd want to do this, though. The 4G63 is on par with the K for just about everything you want to do. If you're intent on using the K-series engine in a DSM car, use the K-series transmission too, since they don't require any adapting. I'd love to their 6 speeds as an option to bolt up to a 4G63. But alas..
 
I don't know why any one would want to use our transmissions......
 
The K series is a fantastic engine in its own right, days of Mitsu guys and Honda guys arguing reached its height in the mid 2000s. Nothing to argue anymore while there’s guys likely laughing at all of us going 8s on a shoestring budget with an LS.

Point is if someone has to ask this question they’re either trolling or not skilled anywhere near the point to pull off that kind of swap. Want a k24, buy one of the gazillion Honda chassis they make kits to bolt the thing right into.

But also because the 4G63 IS better. :p I’m DSM loyal to a fault. Can’t help it. All in good fun though. There’s no venom behind my words anymore. Just harmless ribbing.
